How is their general play? Are they trying to play in a similar way to the senior team?

4 nil Jordy added another at the end.

The play was very similar to the first team, in the first half the passed the ball around and tried to stretch Boro, they got a fortunate goal, and then once the penalty was scored in the second half the game opened up and they found the space.

Defensively they left a lot to be desired, McGivern and Kennedy at the back frequently gave the ball away and only a couple of last gasp tackles from McGivern prevent certain goals.

Gareth Barry played a half and looked like a man who'd be injured for 3 months. Scapuzzi came on for him at half time, scored a good goal, linked up well and looked a class apart.

Suarez ran the show, he's got good feet and can pick a pass. One thing though...he's not quick.

I was dissaspointed with Lopes

Albert Rusnak was like Vlad Weiss but with more end product, windy though, he bottled a tackle right in front of Lombardo and got taken off a minute later.

Jeremy Helan played like a fast George Elokobi at left back.

Reece Warbara looked like a more agile Micah.

George Evans, centre midfield and captain, caught my eye as he was always involved.

My dad wasn't impressed with Johansen in goal, heavy footed and not that good in the air from a guy who is 6 foot 5.

Crowd was announced at 1,800 but it looked fuller than a Norwich FA Youth Cup tie I went to a few years ago and I think they announced that crowd as 6,000.

A good game, well worth free admission. They are playing PSG in the Nxt Gen Series next Friday at Hyde. Well worth going to watch if its not too far out of your way.

Cheers for the report.

Suarez has decent pace though. Not lightning but certainly decent.

When he played in the first team in preseason he looked like he was 30+. I thought we'd signed our usual OAP for the squad.

If football was just running with the ball Helan would be Pele! He's extremely fast when running with the ball but seems to struggle with distribution; when he's at a stand still he plays little 2 yard passes to the man next to him as if he's not sure what to do.

Appearance wise he looks like if George Elokobi and Shaun Goater had a love child
