The press strangely show restraint on this issue..which I would have thought any self-respecting journalist would love to get their teeth into.

It's no more a conflict of interest than when it was Sheepshanks, Dein etc etc. All the fella's at the FA have a conflict of interest somewhere. The appointment is a tad unnerving nevertheless

Bernstein wasn't the Chairman/Chief Exec of City at the time. The idea that the Glasiers are paying Gill good money and that Gill will not in turn be calling their tune at the FA would be fanciful to say the least.
