Quick ticket question

Postby s1ty m » Sat Oct 20, 2012 5:17 pm

My daughter has a 17-18 year olds Blue membership card loaded up for Villa at home. She can't go and I want to take a mate instead, who is much older. Can I upgrade the ticket or will it be OK? Or will lights flash and stewards descend on him and cart him off in a wheelbarrow to the underground cells?

Lights will flash, and you can expect the steward to step in. They didnt use to be so keen on it, but the gate I use the bloke is proper on the ball these last 12 month

Just ring up and upgrade it,

Thanks. I was slightly bothered that if I ring, they will obviously see that she is not using the card for that game and that it is against the rules to have someone else go in on her card, upgrade or not.

No we upgrade the kids' season tickets all the time so it would be very heavy handed to refuse to upgrade a standard card, there are loads of reasons people cant make the game and have to change arrangements, there would be uproar if they wouldnt make changes

From the club:

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately you will not be able to upgrade your daughters ticket, however we can refund it and sell it to a different supporter who is in the correct age range.

If you would like to contact Supporter Services on 0161 444 1894 (option 1, then option 3) we will be able to do the above procedure.

Not too helpful really.

Just dress your mate up in a miniskirt and a wig.

Actually, they were very helpful. They just refund the ticket and I buy an adult on her crad, using my number. Very good. Plus £15, of course.

Lol. I don't know, maybe they did the refund and re-charge on yours as they did mine?

Well, I don't really get it. They sent me 2 emails, one with the refund, the second with a new charge of £42. Either way, it works. Perhaps they have to have authorisation for the extra £15 if it has been a while since the original sale, I don't really know.
