Can someone here fill in the blanks for me about the game please, I was in work and only saw the highlights from motd, which were ruined by that fat potato talking about geordie shore.

How did Nasri and garcia perfom? I see nasri got the assist and seemed like the player we hoped he would be (from the highlights) but was taken off early?

Bar garcia's goal, it seems from this thread he was doing better than usual or at least improving.

Nasri had a really good game but came off injured in the first half. Garcia had a good game (particularly in the first half). We looked like our old selves until Nasri came off but were strong enough to see out the rest of the game (relatively comfortably.

why wasnt sinclair brought on when nasri got injured. kolarov was brought on but surely sinclair would have been a better option.

I'm sure Mancini said that he's bought him more for next season ... maybe we should have loaded him back to Swansea this season to give him more prem experience

I would have thought the 100% perfect time to bring on Sinclair ( anyone but Kolarov anyway) as were in free flowing mode running Newcastle ragged and it would have allowed Silva to stay left as Sinclair could have gone right. I do think Mancini has made a decision re Sinclair though.

Mancini would rather cut off his nose to spite his face , this will be his eventual downfall in my opinion.
It pisses me off no end, the arrogance and pig headedness that Mancini chooses to show instead of doing the right thing there and then.

Like for like swap and a chance to get Sinclair going with maybe a view to when he might be needed. Kolarov seemed to be the 'safe option' It didn't work that well either.

did he really say they bought him for next season?
maybe mancini fears he would let us down defensively and is cautious to take a chance with him, so opts for the one dimensional kolarov.

It was obvious today more than ever - Aguero is a greedy cunt.
I think he is the most greedy of all 4 of our attackers. He plays for his numbers, not for the team, on occasions.

We have 4 world class forwards, but they obviously dont link up not because they arent able to do so, its beacuse of their selfishnes.
What I saw today was disgusting at the moments.. Its like everyone is playing for his account (upfront).

Mancini has part of the blame for this.

I don't think any of our forwards are greedy or selfish, at least not to a great extent. Sure, Aguero has tendency not to look up when he's decided to attempt toscore but other than that, I don't think you can say he's playing for "his account". You definitely can't say that about Tevez, Balotelli or Dzeko.

We all know that what you're really writing is "WHY DID AGUERO NOT PASS IT TO DZEKO!!!!!!!". Admit it and be done with it.

And it went in."

But it's not like all of our forwards are selfish though, which was the point if tikitakayadayada.

I've not decided on Aguero just yet, but after Ted and others said that he refused to pass anyone but Tevez I've been watching him more closely and to a point I can agree... but I think it's more down to poor decisions than greedyness, although I wouldn't know because I'm not in his head.

I do not have any problem with selfish strikers: no more than I might have with a porn actor affected by priapism.
My problems are with strikers who either do not strike and squander too many opportunities to find the net.

And on that point I think Aguero is indeed very guilty so far this season. But on the other hand, at least he shoots. Something the rest of the team seem to have forgotten how to do.

edit. I of course mean that Aguero is guilty of priapism.

The occasion where he took a shot instead of cutting it back to Dzeko on the edge of the area I can see why Aguero did it - the defenders were blocking his passing angle and Dzeko hadn't continued his run into the box (partly because he wasn't as quick as Aguero, but he could have got a lot closer to the six yard box if he'd tried), I would say Dzeko was guilty of not providing him with a better passing target that time.
