neymar

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

neymar

Postby Nigels Tackle » Sun Dec 23, 2012 8:42 am

sunday telegraph have gone with neymar to us as one of their lead stories today.

flash harry this lad may be but he is also some footballer

interesting to see if this story has legs or if it will result in 'yet another snub'...

one thing that i think is for sure is that the spaniards will want to make some sort of statement of their own intent in the next few months

Not for me, we've tried this road before, its short, expensive, great at first, then the cold comes and potholes appear, before the road doubles back to Brazil via Italy.

Sunday supplement on SS1 now ...... interesting very interesting. Seems Mario and Joleon both going in january and marque signings lined up in the possible shape of Falcao AND Neymar ...... Tixi whatshisname is in South America right now ! Either way it looks like MCFC are going to spend big , lets hope we get our targets this time UNLIKE last summer.

PS Seems Wesley Sneijder has agreed a move somewhere ...... i wonder where that could be ?

I'm not. I think neymar, while being a highly gifted player, is a twat of the first order.

Mind you, I thought the same about Bellamy and I kind of warmed to him a little bit.

We should be considering players that we think would improve our squad. The transfer market isn't a period for us as fans to select 'thoroughly good blokes you'd like to go down the pub with'.

On that basis and his potential. Yes please.

I am also of the opinion that he seems a right prick.I am however forming that opinion on the fact that he looks a twat.As a footballer he has incedible talent and I am slowly coming around to the fact that he is a really good player.I find it hard to believe that Madrid or Barca would not have a say in matters if he is finally prepared to have a go In Europe.

Neymar and Falcao? I'll believe it when I see it.

Anyway, aren't we having a Transfer thread? It's getting close now.

Fans have got no say in who we sign whatsoever and never have had.

Would you welcome luis suarez as well? How about cristiano ronaldo? They'd both improve the squad.

If we manage to sell Balotelli & sign Neymar & Falcao in Jan, the police will have to barricade Burton's window in order to stop the hordes of people queueing up to show their arses in it.

Just selling Balotelli in Jan would be an incredible achievement.

Based on what I said, then yes, if I thought they'd improve our squad.

Maybe not the place to debate if both of your examples would improve us though... But did you enjoy the game yesterday, or was it incredibly frustrating? As much as it may sicken you, imagine if Ronaldo had been out there. Would we have struggled to get behind then like that?

It's not a popularity contest.

Those two are not mutually exclusive, I believe, and yeah, I did enjoy it. Sometimes football is interesting rather than exciting. Having that Portugueser in the team would perhaps have meant we wouldn't have had the pleasure of the Gaz Barry injury time header and I really enjoyed that.

But just one last question. Does your thinking mean you value tevez just as much as you value Zabaleta or Kompany?

You obviously disagree with me here and fair play to you, mate.

No Brazilians please, in 40 years of watching football I can count all those I had gladly taken on a mutilated hand.
Neymar is certainly not a Tonino Cerezo, to say one.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Where did the rumour about Burgerstain being in South America come from? That could be the most important revelation leading up to the new transfer window if it's true. Then all the conjecture about what he's there for (and who) begins. Personally I'm hoping he's in Argentina.

Ok. Shit analogy. I enjoyed the game in retrospect, but the usual City agony was there for all to see and my point was with a stronger squad we may have avoided a last gasp goal against the bottom side.

I'm not sure what you mean. Yes, Tevez can be a dick. But I do like his energy and space that that energy provides for silva and aguero. What's not to value?

As for popularity, do you really believe that Ronaldo doesn't have legions of fans around the world?!? Who's to say Neymar couldn't be the next 2nd best player in the world?

Good, talented players can be arrogant objectionable arseholes at times. We can't just have a team of grafters and no flair. I don't think we're in a position to pick and chose which players have a high moral value before we consider them. On what basis do you object to Neymar?

I posted that he was in Brazil on here. It's true, he was. There is video evidence of him at the airport, shown on Brazillian tv.

Doubt it's for Neymar, not other than an enquiry anyhow.

Ah right, I must have missed it. I hope it wasn't for that Corinthians midfielder that we were linked with - he was pants during the club world cup.

Don't see Neymar coming here. I can't envision a young, talented, "wonderkid" coming here as a means to progress and develop when he'd constantly be in and out of the starting 11 due to Mancini's odd rotations that seem to have no concrete, consistent trend.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

So should we sell the Brazilian we already have in the squad? Don't remember the objection when we signed Maicon.
