What happens if the B team win the second division and the A team get relegated from the first division? Does the B team then get promoted?

As long as only one team is in the top division the change wouldn't prevent the promotion and relegation.
What I imagine would happen is that the better players would just stay playing in the top division and the teams would change names so the B became the A team and vice versa.

I think a reserve team in the lower leagues is a good idea but they shouldn't get an automatic place or position, if they go through the ranks like everyone else, by all means. would improve homegrown players and even boost the national side.... and by god it needs boosting, as it stands, it is a joke.
Still here.

So bollox to the Oldham's, Northampton's, Tranmere's etc of this world then?

And what happens when the "B" teams finish top of their league. Do they get promoted so that they play in the same league as their "A" teams?

Sounds bollox to me Ross!

No. They would still be in the regional leagues. What do you think would attract more tv money and gate reciepts for Oldham and Tranmere?

Oldham vrs City B.
Tranmere vrs Liverpool B

or

Oldham vrs Colchester
Tranmere vrs Walsall

It happends in Germany and Spain who have a far better record of producing good one players than England of late.

It should have been introduced in Scotland a very long time ago.

With UEFA allowing 2020 to be held all over Europe. The proposed Russian-Ukrainian league looking like a goer and Germany, Holland and Belgiums womens leagues all combining we are going to see massive changes in league structures over the next ten years I am sure of it. I am sure the Premiership is strong enough to stand up on it's own but I think the rest who are being left behind will eventually get together.

The minute that the TV money generated from a Super CL League tops that of the Premiership/La Liga plus current CL money you know fine well the top teams will be off like a shot. One way of ensuring local interest is kept up is to allow B side to play in regional leagues.

I'd like to see it happen for the level two sides in Europe currently wasting their time in the Europa league. The fact that historically big clubs like Porto and Celtic who have massive fan basis around the world can earn less by winning their leagues and having a good run in the Europa league can earn less money than the team that finishes 4th bottom on the Premiership cannot go on.

Any posters with a good memory will re-call I argued against this happening (the european super leagues) but the minute they approved the Russia-Ukraine proposal and announced Euro 2020 would take place across Europe the genie was out of the bottle. I will only favour it if there is a promotion and relegation possible. I closed shop of the rich getting richer is of no interest to me.

I shall never realize whether it annoys me more the John/Ted's shit stirring of "what's wrong and where's the factual evidence of it" or the Ant/Dommie's tantrums at taking the piss out of Them, on subject matter.

Thanks God and Khaldoon's belated overlooking it's over. Can we fucking move on and keep enjoying the ride, please?

I do not dislike Marwood. I think he is an excellent shoe sales assistant. I just found it weird people keep supporting his absolute amateurship at sporting directorship. as if he was a Welsh miner at risk to be deemed redundant.
People have rights to get a fair job and feed themselves according to their competences, not to a Sacred Right to be a senior key man at the Best Club in the land and the whole world.

I reckon he is certainly a nice guy and, actually, I would love him, immensely, if he was The Sporting Director at MUFC.

But I haven't said anything.

I've just quoted an article about our new academy project, which Marwood was in charge of & has always been his main focus.

I think it's going to be fucking brilliant.

Don't give a flying monkeys dick whether you lot think it's good or not. I know it is. And well done to him for putting it together.

Guy sat in Italy finds it amusing that a double act sat in the USA and a former Russian colony, consider they have better inside knowledge and judgement of what is going on inside our club than those on the spot.

He never was the sporting director at City mate. He was the Chief Administrations Officer.

Why is his experience in the PFA ignored in these arguments?

One more thing, maybe during the summer he was out of his depth but that's hardly surprising considering he had a passive CEO over him and our Technical Director, who effectively did all the shmoozing on transfers since the ADUG takeover, upped and left to QPR in May. If you feel angry about how things panned out over the summer then said anger should be aimed at Khaldoon for letting that situation arise at the club.

One last thing, who do you think would win a scapegoat deathmatch between Marwood and Balotelli?
