You should really list off the "some other things" mate...

But I'll try deal with the major ones you listed:

Superman - was originally told to play in a different role/system which didn't suit him, as confirmed by both hughes and Ireland. He was then played in his normal position against Scunthorp, Liverpool and Hull where I think he looked like the player of last season. You also forget to mention that Ireland improved dramatically under Hughes as he confirmed himself, since hughes took over, but that doesn't "suit" your argument...

SWP - you have argued up and down the board that SWP has been playing very well this season. And surely its your opinion you should be giving? So we'll rule that one out as well then, or else admit he has been shit? Up to you...

The defence - are we leaking a lot more goals than last season? You're the stat man, let me know?

Overall mate, you're reasons for proclaiming that we have gone backwards in the last 18 months are weak as hell. We are 3 points off fourth with a game in hand. Hardly a disaster for a team who, if finishes in fourth, will have had a fantastic season by anyone's standards... we are a game away from our first cup semi final in years... hardly a disaster.

In fact, and I do like facts, there is NO DOUBT we have come forward in the last 18 months. I would like us to have moved further forward, but forward we have most definitely come.

If we win our game in hand(which the Gooners also have) we will go into 5th.
As you say playing Stevie in the wrong place was a mistake made by Hughes and only recently been rectified.Nontheless it was a mistake and so it is an example of regression on the part of clueless. So whatever reason you give for his drop in performance the fact is it has happened and clueless was the one responsible for it.
After 13 games in Svens season we had let in 14 goals, after 13 games this season we have let in 17 goals.More regression.
We were in the Europa cup last year, this year we are not, another example of going backwards.

The reason we are not in Europa League this season is as a result of last season....

We have a large relatively new squad, it is only natural that any manager would try several different formations and line-ups before finding the right one. Does that mean he is making mistakes when a player doesn't work in a certain system?

I remember all the 1 nils we managed to scrape under Sven and it was such a high... compared to the actual football on display.... we scored 16 goals after 13 games under Sven and have scored 21 goals under Hughes....

But we could go on and on about Sven -v- Hughes and it has been done to death. The thing is, you said SINCE he has taken over, Hughes has brought us BACKWARDS OVER THE LAST 18 MONTHS.

That statement is wrong and you are trying to tell me its not. Maybe the tea lady makes poxy tea now compared to last season.... maybe the groundskeeper isn't as good as he used to be, but we are in a far better position this season so far compared to last season and although we look like a newly assembled squad for the most part, we are the hardest side to beat in the whole league.... and that's during our "terrible crisis".

Like I say, its make or break time for Hughes, but I strongly disagree with the fact that you say as a club we are worse this season than last.
