Not just today's management either. You only need to look at the swamp to see someone who has managed all sorts of players effectively. I suspect the likes of Hughes, Robson, Keane and Bruce only saw the shouting version and reacted to it, hence why there such one dimensional managers. But I can't believe Tranny or that French bloke would have stood for being shouted at. Yet he got the best out of them, too, without alienating everyone else.

Robbie Savage was on 606 on Saturday and said that O'Neill had come out after a game at Leicester and said there was only one thing wrong with Savage - his ability. Savage said he was furious and set out in the next game to prove his manager wrong. I could see Zabaleta acting in the same way, but would Nasri?

It's clear Mancini has a certain management style and it's unlikely to change, so he needs to think about that when picking players. Sensitive types who need to be told they're doing a good job are a waste of time, as they won't get what they're looking for.

I think everything is meant to be tounge in cheek. As a boss, you would be pissed off if one of your players isn't performing at their level. And like someone has already said, it is Bobs way of saying well done and this is the level you should be playing because you are capable. He's just frustrated with him.
Nasri is moody, but aren't all the French (joke, before I am accused of being anti-French). He should just laugh it off and understand what the boss meant.

IMHO just a few twisted quotes from the usual suspects in the media that have been picked up by a few pantomime dames keen to get all high pitched & loud about it to bang the drum for their own particular agenda's.
It's a nothing that proves nothing so of no use to anyone other than perhaps the most deluded and extreme Mancini or Nasri outers.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Nasri is a little bellend that gives it the big man act but when he's got a chance to do something, when he was walking through the arsenal fans the other month getting shit, he just bottles it. Kinda like what he does on the pitch.

Hope he fucks off at the end of the season to PSG.

if you were a professional footballer you wouldn't be looking to mix it up on a walk to the stadium with some supporters from your ex-club unless you are a complete fucking tosser. Nasri did the right thing there.

And yes we know that Aleks would have put them in a meat grinder and made sausage out of them, and then fried them in a pan and eaten them as a snack.

cheers

I'm not sure about Nasri but Mancini was certainly laughing when he said it and I thought it was a way of giving praise rather than having a dig; a sort of 'Well Done *wish he could do that every week*' sort of thing.

One thing that did stick out for me with Nasri is that he is a bit soft and needs that arm around the shoulder to help him along. Mancini doesn't seem to be that type of manager and leaves that down to the likes of BK and DP so I don't think he's going to get any help from Mancini anytime soon.

He's showed in brief patches that he can be excellent but on many occassions he becomes just another player. If he can just up his game and produce more often then he'd be a real asset to the team and would be played every game. That will only come with a change of mentality and a little more balls. Will he ever be the player he promises to be?

Nasri is a wimp and thats a fact but Mancini has ZERO idea how to manage players ,hes fuckign clueless more often than not and in todays football management you need to know when to put an arm around a player and when to be hard on them.

Bollox man. If we want to be top of our game with the need to prove, Mancini needs to be fucking hard as nails.

You've been there pal, how much do we pay for the best in the world to do their business? These cunts should be showing every week and they shouldn't be weak as piss. That's where we are at mate, we've bought mercenaries to take us to a certain place but we haven't got the foundations in place to yet get rid of them. I'd fucking slate them every night and every day. In fact. I'd give them a right good going over and then fuck them off for not having the fortitude to succeed in what they do; they are wasters!

Be fucking hard and strong or just fuck off. That's Mancini's style and until we need the manager who needs to nurture the youngsters, I'm all for Mancini to kick ass; even Kompany's, although I do believe that this was a non-entity that was sorted prior to the game.

A personal question here mate, do you give your highest earners an arm around the shoulder or do you give them a fucking heads-up when they are under performing?

Once is a shot across the bow, twice is a fucking disgrace!

There has to be a balance mate , I do not believe Mancini can adopt that kind of approach. How many players has he fucked off up to now ? and Vinny ? (Probably the best role model in Football) is one of them!

You know something is fuckign wrong when you piss off someone like him ffs. I wouldnt even mind if it had a positive effect but it doesnt does it.

Anyway, Nasri is a wimp and if I am honest I couldnt give 2 fucks about him.

To answer your question - if I have managers that I rate and they fuck up then I blow up then put an arm around - balanced.

I have just sacked 38 people yesterday and today so Im probably the biggest cunt in Casinos this side of the carib right now!

Is this also bollocks????

Sport Wereld certainly aren't ones for hyperbole, they don't often do sensationalism and when they do cover something eyebrow raising they've invariably picked it up from the English media. Transfer rumours are not their sort of thing and stirring the pot at Premier League football clubs holds no interest for them.

It's worth pointing that out before explaining what they've put in a write-up on Vincent Kompany today. Sport Wereld is the sport section for the country's largest newspaper Nieuwsblad and they often cover Kompany news, today they have two separate stories on the new football club he's launching, they appear to have very good connections.

The article covers the growing rift between Roberto Mancini and his Manchester City captain, they say that Kompany is angry about the situation on several levels. Firstly, Sport Wereld explain that Kompany is ultra-committed to playing for his country and was clear about this when he joined Manchester City. They say that with the recent political problems the country has faced, the national team has been even more important and Kompany takes his role very seriously.

When Kompany fell out with Hamburg over international commitments, he left the club as soon as he could and Sport Wereld say 'The scenario is likely to repeat itself five years later'.

On the subject of the actual injury, the newspaper say that Kompany has been unhappy with his treatment at Manchester City. They say the person put in charge of his recovery is an Italian who is close to Roberto Mancini (we assume that to be Ivan Carminati) and Kompany doesn't feel the treatment has been good enough or that he's been recovering quickly enough. Such was the difference when he joined up with the Belgian physio Lieven Maesschalck, Kompany could have also played in the country's first qualifier during the last international break.

None of this is comforting reading for Manchester City fans and whilst Sport Wereld may not be sensationalist usually, they are always likely to back up their national captain.

I've read the article Carl and it's an opinion piece on their Blog site with no quotes or any evidence that it has come from anybody other than the author. What has to be remembered is that this is from the same country that Mancini has just had a go at their National team manager. The article also goes on to say that their physio cleared up Vinnie's calf problem within a matter of days, as if he had magic hands. We already know that Vinnie has problems in this area and Vinnie has already stated that it's been a hindrance which will take time to put right yet the article gives no credence to his own assertions.

Basically, a story to sell a few papers whilst protecting their national game. Nothing more.

He's had two outstanding games for us (his debut and Chelsea at home Last season) Probably about 10 decent ones and then the rest he may as well have not been on the pitch.

I genuinely have never been let down by a player so much. Many of us thought we were signing a world beater. He was into double figures in his last season for Arsenal.

Could you imagine him doing this now?

It's such a shame that City is not influenced by such champions of work-ethic like Ireland, Robinho, Adebayor, Bellamy and Petrov anymore...

The sooner we get rid of this cunt of a manager, the better for the anarchy at the Club.

I'm stupid, because I'll never be able to understand why so many people are much interested to listen to the Rags press than to the Club's Officials. It's just beyond my limits.
