isn't kompany on the books until 2017 already? have to agree with goaters that aguero should be the next target to get signed up long term.

I wonder how Hart"s contract looks like.
I haven't heard any news since his comeback from Birmingham.

he was a human-shaped turd last summer and we fucked the league off because of it. FACT.

he will certainly be fairly old and earning crazy wages near the end of the deal...however, with his skills he should still be a very effective player in the midfield even with a decline in pace. given that he's also a leader on the team, and by remaining here should help those who might be thinking of jumping ship to reconsider those thoughts, both add to the value of this deal.
next up...re-signing komps, i suspect.
All options are now open to us. But if Yaya sees out his contract age won't come into it as he can do the role in front of the back four with his eyes closed and two broken legs.

Kompany on a 6 year deal, Ya Ya on a new 4 year one, Silva on a new 5 year one, Hart here for another 3 years plus - only Aguero now to sort out as City are notieably tying up our 5 crown jewell players, which these guys notably are.
aguero only just completed one year of a five year deal. nothing to sort out there.
Still here.

Tricky did a brilliant job getting Kompany to sign that 6 year deal as well. Or was that before he arrived...

I think before Trixi ... Mancini signed 5 and soon after Kompany signed 6 ...or the other way around, but both were very close to each other and both before Trixi was in (at least officially).

Yaya's done, now what about Kolo? His contract is up this season and unless we tie him up before it runs out, he's a free agent. Surely he's a good backup in our central defence given his recent performances this season? And with Lescott very likely going this summer shouldn't we hang on to him? We can't be shopping for two centre backs this summer where we'll also be looking at two strikers, and possibly another two in the midfield?
With brother staying, easier decision for him??

Unless he agrees to far lesser terms then I can see him off to somewhere like Galatasaray. Good to see that Kolo's position has not affected Yaya's judgement.

I would have laughed off the idea of extending his deal last summer but i feel he has played his best football for us this season.I have a restored confidence in him being a worthy squad player and could see a deal as long as he has a realistic idea of his own value. On the other hand the temptation of a final big pay could be hard for him to ignore especially with the attraction of regular first team football.Hard to know what will happen.

I don't think Kolo is in it for the money anymore. He is playing for a top club. He has his brother by his side and his family are settled.
He will take lesser terms and stay - if he is offered them that is!
