Sergio's Tackle

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Apr 14, 2013 4:55 pm

Well, did he he mean it and if so, will a ban follow?

He 100% meant it. I can understand that he lost his temper, and in my eyes Luiz tried t elbow him, but I really don't know what he was thinking when he made that lunge.

Yes to both unfortunately.
Apologises for using the rag colour, but red mist took over. You can see it in eyes when luiz barges him.

You can tell by the glare he give Luiz afterwards that he meant it, not very nice to watch. Luiz got away with a lot against him though.

And Torres took revenge with a stamp on Kun's ankle.

Agreed and Torres meant the revenge one down his achilles just after as well.

It baffles me how what Luiz did is seen as acceptable nowadays. He is running with the ball and sees Kun coming and likely to win the ball so he throws his body and arm away from the ball and across Kun. It's a foul but never seen as one.

torres's stamp needs looking at. Haven't seen the Aguero incident yet but I suspect it will be highlighted in the media quite forcefully over the next few days.

All in all, that Michael Bolton look-a-like is a dirty fucker, Sergio lost it, but who knows how many elbows he received from him.

There's no excuse, mate. He could've weakened the team severely. One goal & it's extra time with 10 men, loads of em knackered v a revitalised Chelsea side.

Completely agree with this. Not once did they mention Luiz and the foul.

He's had quite a few of Luiz and also been dragged around a bit. I think that was the last straw.

Got to be a 3 match ban. Hoping they fast-track it so he misses the next 3 and is back for the run-in, starting with Swansea.

Luiz got a free kick for the foul so technically they can't punish him. Its the exact same as the McManaman situation.
