Spurs vs City - Player Ratings

Not done one of these in a while but feel like I need to get this off my chest

Hart - 5 - Unconvincing once more, fucking atrocious distribution. Poor communication with defence which almost cost us before their first goal

Zabaleta - 7 - Did nothing really wrong, combines really well with Milner and Tevez when play is on the right
Nastasic - 8 - Excellent in the first half, a very fired up Adebayor in his pocket
Kompany - 4 - Awful in those second half moments. Tottenham's first two goals pretty much wholly his fault
Clichy - 6 - Uncomfortable against Walker and didn't pose his usual threat going forward

Milner - 7 - Looked strong first half before he got clattered
Yaya - 6.5 - Great in patches and bursts but not quite at the races
Barry - 5 - Terrible today IMO...shit distribution, slow dithering on the ball and losing possession. One of his off days
Nasri - 7 - Thought he played well in general, fired up again in London, good finish and good fight overall

Tevez - 8 - Didn't deserve to be let down by so many teammates and his manager
Dzeko - 3 - Please go, fucking awful

Mancini - 4 - Crap in-game management. Absolutely shit. Why have Aguero on the bench if he cannot be used. Sinclair? WTF...Lescott to chase the game. Oh fuck off you total italicunt

Think you're being generous with Dzeko!

He wonders why Mancini prefers to start with Aguero and Tevez, and it's because when he starts he plays like he did today. Showed absolutely no desire whatsoever. If we could get a decent fee from someone in the summer I'd be happy to let him go, unless he's only to be used as an impact sub.

Dzeko knows he's going in the off season and his performance reflected that.
If he was fighting for his place, he would have worked harder and actually do something for the team rather than give the ball away.
Good luck to him wherever he goes, but he's not for us.

Agree about Hart. If he has any kind of ambition being even near the best in the world, he should learn to fucking kick a ball. Pinging it in the general direction of Kolarov all second half is not my idea of distribution. Atrocious.

Also, I love Mancini, but he's a stubborn fuckwit. When has this Kolarov in midfield farce ever had any positive effect ever? He likes to fiddle around with his tactics (see the back 3 shambles v Wigan), but today when AVB changed their set-up, he did nothing. Sort your head out, Bobby.

I usually give Dzeko a lot of leeway, if I see him trying/scoring, but that was piss poor today, no excuse. If 5/10 is average, a 3 is very very generous.

Zabaleta imo should've looked out for Dempsey, who switched to the left wing before the first goal, so he did in fact do something wrong.

I like to support Dzeko if possible but what can I say. I don't know if laziness comes into it or just blatant incompetence in performances like that.He was absolutely dire and for almost the entire time he was on I can't actually remember him doing anything right.

I was surprised and disappointed that he was picked in the first place as I thought we would go 5 across the middle and release Yaya.Even if we didn't start with that we should have changed to it when it was clear we needed more in the midfield but all we got was a sort of apathy.I hope they will be able to raise themselves for the final plus a couple of league games to guarantee 2nd place.

I thought Barry played well today. Agree with the rest of the ratings though

Lost the ball too many times today and slowed us down.
Love the guy, but was disappointed by him today.

Do you know what mate, Joe alluded to the Cup Final in his after-match interview. Right at the end he said they were all playing for their place in the final which Joe must have had on his mind. I do wonder if, intrinsically, they are already in another place, saving themselves for a shot at glory, again.

If so, I wouldn't blame them. A couple of wins and we're home and hosed for the CL place whereas the chance of playing in the biggest domestic cup must always be a pull.

Agree with this 100 % , we all know Edin is a player for team who plays just like spurs just give him ball deep on head and leags and he can do something that how is he play in Wolfsburg in National selection and after 45 min i was to send him home not sub him .Why Bob did not do it i will never know it .He close the game 3 time before that when we lead and 5 min before goal u could see that they have space on wings and that is only way for them to score.Edin should be sold on winter, not Ballo. I do not fuckin know did Bob watch hes tape when he sing him at all.If u going to play this way u buy players like Barsa ,why they sell star like Ibra?Because Guardiola get that.

I was screaming this at the telly at the start of the second half, wondering why in the hell Mancini couldn't see what EVERYONE IN THE GODDAMN WORLD could see. Barry and Yaya getting overrun, Dzeko plonking about like a hippo in sandals, and Joe Hart kicking every single ball wrong. It was like watching Dunne and Distin at times, PANIC, SCRAMBLE, GET THE FUCKING BALL OUT, STOP PANICKING, rinse and repeat.

Garcia on, Aguero on, Kolarov and Dzeko off, play Aguero wide left, Nasri wide right, unleash the Yaya.

I believe 100% that with a 1-0 lead, that would have won us the game.

This is spot on!!! Second half, when Milner went off and Bob put Shitov on, we got massively overrun in midfield!!! Joe Harts kicking was atrocious .
