Bloody hell, Pelligrini is going to a 'Project'. I wonder where that could be then?

And, to keep the Mancini debate going, if we were in for Pelligrini and knew we would be changing managers, does this not somehow undermine our season from then on?

Just a thought.

Who gives a shit , hes gone, so lets just focus on the new guy. All news this week has been productive and exciting imo , I prefer to focus on this than delving into conspiracy theories about yesterday.

Agreed, and there are other threads for that too .

Since there is no europa league for Malaga next year, I am hoping we get the news on sunday itself that pellagrini is our manager & he got the isco biscuit along with him.

KinkyLola,

IT IS IDIOTS LIKE YOU, WHO LIE ABOUT WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID, TWIST THEIR WORDS TO MEAN THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SAID AND USE EXTREME AND SENSATIONAL LANGUAGE TO FALSIFY THEIR POINT...LIKE YOU JUST DID...that made me decide some time ago that it was pointless pointing posting anything intelligent or thoughtful on here. IDIOTS LIKE YOU who seem unable to read and comprehend simple words and concepts. IDIOTS LIKE YOU...made me decide NOT to waste my time and caused me NOT to post very much, for some time.

I WAS RIGHT....As soon as I posted on a major issue and raised a serious point that had been largely overlooked, AN IDIOT LIKE YOU TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY to prove to me I had been right.

I shall now return to my coffin. Maybe one day you will learn to read...then again, maybe not

Love and hugs.

Not a fucking chance, not even Hart's ;-)

The thing is mate, Mancini is now consigned to the history books where he will be remembered fondly, by most anyway, it's just the nagging questions that are rising in my swede.

However, I'm all up for Pellers coming in and I think he's the right bloke to get our emotionally starved players back on track.

There's been a journo putting up articles saying it was a done deal for months, possibly as you say since the new year, although it seems longer even than that to me. I put it down to bollox at the the time, even though the journo was putting his name to them, and they were quite black and white, as in they were written as a statement of fact rather than the usual mate of a mate understands and it is believed rubbish.

wait ... if it's been a done deal since new years, how does the time table work out for the dynamic duo of john and mancio to blame it on a tricky and sorry power grab?

Not that I actually subscribe to the theory. but it would work out very well with Soriano joining in August 2012, and Begiristain in late October.

There is virtually no chance of any manager getting the boot without disharmony and backstabbing being dished out mate, Im sure there was plenty of that going on when they booted out Mancini.

John, just lighten up. I understand that you are concerned about the direction everything is heading ... and you have every right to be. I happen to believe that things are only going to get better and better for the club in a lot of ways. I'm just being a bit light hearted with a little banter. I might not always get it right eh? After all I am an idiot American ... it should be really easy for anyone to disregard what I have to say.

That being said, I do realize it was totally inappropriate for me to group you with Mancio ... i've let myself down there, and sorry for any offense to you.

I'm not really arsed about that Carl, I'm just a nosey bastard who likes to see the truth. At present, we're being drip-fed negative and positive stories and I'd like to say that I'll be able to support the new manager 100% without the rug being pulled from under my feet.

Those 'ooh the club were plotting Mancini's replacement' posts are, I'm afraid, ridiculous.
The fact of the matter is that every serious business has a succession plan in place designed to mitigate the potential loss of any key person. Now I'm sure that we'll all agree that Roberto was a key person and ergo that the club would have been managed by idiots of the worst possible kind if they didn't fulfil their obligations in that regard by talking to potential successors as a matter of routine.
Please also be aware that Roberto would have been holding his own talks to mitigate any potential risk to his own future as well.

It wasn't bad or unethical practice on either part so no need for anyone to get their knickers in a twist.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

When we sold Mario and didn't replace him in January, it looked like we'd written this season off. Obviously they didn't want a situation like last summer where we couldn't sign our striking target as we couldn't get rid of any of the existing ones and no doubt Milan would have dragged the purchase out until late August. But even so, it handicapped us and a couple of injuries and we'd have had all sorts of problems.
