Isco

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

And I know now-a-days footballers are meant to be mature at that age, but it will come down to whether or not he is able to cope with a move abroad being so young.

Loads have done it and have been successful, loads have done and have failed.

His family will have a big say and if they pull at the heart strings, he will remain in Spain. If they support him and wish him well, there is a strong possibility he will come to us.

Nothing is certain in the world of football, just hopes and dreams. They either become true, or destruct around you.

He's from Benalmadena, but started out at Valencia before moving to Malaga. He's already been a couple of hours away from home and it's not like Manchester to Malaga is a tricky trip - he can be home for £1 plus taxes about four times a day.

Can you paste them mate?

Yeah, link seems to be a bit odd.

Özil, Kaká and perhaps Jesé play his position

No room at the inn for Isco

Isco's future is not looking rosy. Well, to be precise, it isn't looking very "White". Despite his marvellous performances in the European U-21 Championship, neither Real Madrid nor the player himself are convinced that the two are a match made in heaven.

The higher-ups at Real Madrid are not letting themselves be seduced by the man from Malaga's sweet form. The reason why is self-evident - in the position that the young starlet plays in, there is already overbooking.

The feeling in the Bernabéu is that with Mesut Özil already on board, Isco would hardly get a look-in. Last season's strategy of having two players vying for starter-status for every position has been shelved for the time being, and having both Isco and Özil for the same job is not seen as a boon, but more as a headache.

Also up for the job is Kaká. The Brazilian will not find it easy leaving the Real camp this year - as he never does - as in all probability the arrival of Ancelotti, a great friend of the player, will give the Ballon d'Or winner yet another opportunity to prove himself and make a go of it.

Added to all this, we have another possible candidate for the false 9 position - Jesé Rodríguez. Florentino's recent declarations regarding the player couldn't be clearer: "I would like him to move up to the first team together with Nacho and Morata."

Isco is well aware of the difficulties he would have at Real, and sees playing at Manchester City a safer bet. Pellegrini's arrival at "The Citizens" will be a determining factor in the matter.

Marl Ogden has just re hashed this in the Telegraph.

Now I hate to critcise someone for putting out a 'positve' on City, but ffs, DO SOME FUCKING WORK, ALL OF YOU SO CALLED JOURNALISTS. YOU ARE THIEVING A FUCKING LIVING. STOP PINCHING STORIES OFF EACH OTHER & MAKING SHIT UP, GET SOME CONTACTS AND ACTUALLY GIVE THE PUBLIC SOME INFORMATION.

ALSO, WRITE SOMETHING INSIGHTFUL ABOUT FOOTBALL, INSTEAD OF JUST SENSATIONALISM. GIVE US SOMETHING GENUINE TO DISCUSS & ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE TO THE SPORT. YOU WORTHLESS BUNCH OF CUNTS.

I agree. Silva signed during the World Cup and basically get dropped for the rest of the competition. Although we may be fretting, I suspect he knows exactly what his plans are and they will be announced after the U21 competition. This isn't like Hazard, as he's not doing it for his own maximum publicity, but due to his international commitments.

As for where he'll go, after the article in Marca saying Madrid don't need him, I think they are positioning themselves for not getting him - "we could have got him if we really wanted, but he wouldn't have got in the side anyway". Could be them trying to force Isco to say he wants to go there, but doesn't strike me as how Madrid operate. Usually they say they're interested and wait for the player to demand a cut price move, so I can't imagine they've become modest.

Why? Would you want to stay somewhere that couldn't guarantee you your wage every week/month? Or that had just been confirmed as being out of Europe through the (in)actions of the owner when a couple of large Champion's League teams were bending over backwards to try and get you to sign for them?

More articles are popping up saying City leads the chase or that City are set to beat RM to Isco

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... ok-1958522

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... erest.html

Basically, the article titles seem to favor us but the writing says the same shit as everyone else.

That's how I read it as well. Any half decent Spanish player becomes available and their supporters will want them to be bidding. Once again they use Marca as damage control. Since he is going to leave Malaga this summer anyway, I'm feeling positive about this.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

When he says the deal must be whats best for me and Malaga, it gives me hope he is coming to us. I think we are more likely to pay a decent fee rather than those crafty blancmanges, who always want players on the cheap cos they've got history.

Although the cynic in me wonders which player these days actually gives a shit about the club they're leaving.

According to sky sports were in the driving seat to sign him.

I believe that with us having Pellegrini as manager it will lure isco to us, because apparently our manager and isco had a strong relationship at malaga.

But will he get a game there? And to be honest who the hell wants to live in Madrid after Malaga? Just as well come to Manchester with Father Pelegrini!

Anyone else read this? Thoughts?

Former Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has advised the Champions League winners to make a move for Malaga star Isco in the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder is continually being linked with a move to a bigger club following his fine performances in 2012-13 and revealed earlier this week that Manchester City and Real Madrid are keen to lure him away from his current club ahead of next season.

However, if it was up to Heynckes, the Spain Under-21 international would continue his career at the Bundesliga giants instead.

"Who should Bayern sign? There are some very interesting players out there, like Malaga star Isco. He's a class act in midfield," Heynckes told Kicker.

The 21-year-old has a contract with Malaga until 2016, but has a €35 million buy-out clause.

Bayern have already secured the services of Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund and Jan Kirchhoff from Mainz for next season.

Heynckes announced his retirement earlier this week after guiding Bayern to a historic treble this term. The Bavarians had previously already appointed Pep Guardiola as his successor.
