Isco

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

City should go in to damage limitation mode now before Real Madrid rub our noses in the shit.Rumors are Ancelloti unveiled Wednesday maybe with Isco,or just Ancelloti Wednesday and Isco unveiled Friday.Either way they are going to milk this for all it is worth if they are allowed to our detriment.

We should pull the plug now and piss on their parade.Citing that the player has fucked us about and we are looking elsewhere, maybe mention the fact we were not going to be robbed like these slimy cunts have been.POSITIVE SPIN before the RAG press have a group wank at our expense.

I'm probably the only one on the forum who hasn't seen isco in action so don't know what we will miss out on if we don't get him.

If he does choose rm, I hope we don't go looking at an already established big name like ozil as some have mentioned instead. Would be good to see us find someone who can make their name with us or better still, bring someone through from the reserves if they are good enough.

Zabs, I'm with you emotionally but I don't think that's the City way of doing things. I believe that we're above all that nonsense and that we'll maintain our dignity by acting with professionalism and reserve. We can make our point by winning trophies in the years to come, and by developing our academy and our sponsorship as we expand our stadium and increase our fan base.

They are slimy cunts but we don't need to lower our standards to compete with them - if they are successful in landing Isco (still not guaranteed regardless of all the hot air blowing about) then we can set our sights on simply beating them at every opportunity as that's where the proof of merit resides in the beautiful game.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Hope the two faced Alan Smith wanabee breaks his leg in his first game. And I hope Real insist on putting his dog, Messi, down. In front of him. With a rusty hammer.

Please stop this nonsense about Özil. Guy is one of the 20 best footballers in the world and keeps getting better. There's no way in hell they'd let him go.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think the Isco deal is over. I tried to remain positive about it all, but now I'm just pissed off with how long the whole debacle is taking.

Let him sign for RM, we are not going to beg and therefore should now turn our attention to other possibilities.

It will be interesting to see who we have on our reserve list after this, or if we leave the midfield alone and provide cover for GK, Def and Str.

What we do need to do is get the cover now and decide which players are staying and which are allowed to leave. We don't want to be in a situation when right at the end of the window, we are scrounging around for replacements.

We need to sign someone with a two-syllable surname with an 'o' at the end.

just like Hazard's did and we signed Scott Sinclair?

We either want these guys or we don't. I don't buy that it will come down to the agent. I think we learned our lesson around that point over a few million with agent bollox for "the right player" last summer with Hazard, don't you?

cheers

No. If Isco has a brother and his agent insists we sign him as part of the deal I'd hope we'd tell him to fuck off too.

Lower our standards? Give over. City have come a long way since they were competing for players with Birmingham and Leicester but they aren't at Real's level of world-wide fame yet. I don't like Franco's fascists but when City have won as much as them, or scored seven in a European Cup final, or at least not tamely gone down to defeat when leading at the Bernabeu with three minutes to go, then perhaps we can start talking about standards. But you mean "moral standards" don't you? That's how we used to console ourselves when comparison were made with U****d when City were shite and the rags were in their pomp, and to be honest it wasn't much consolation then, either.

Surely if Isco has already decided on RM, the agreement would have been official by now and not just rampant speculation, despite the U21 championships and the fact he's not anywhere near Eastlands. Why the wait? I think this is the burning question; there are still negotiations going on behind the scenes and my guess is that Pellegrini, not any agent, is at the centre of it.
