I can't help feeling that he was our new coach's number 1 target and we could have got him. All we had to do was pay the reserve fee before the Under 21 matches and he'd have been ours. We thought we had him in the bag and tried to get cute about the price. Isco starred in the Under 21s andReal decided they wanted him. The rest sadly looks like being history. If Chelsea get Cavani they've got a bloody good player. Pellegrini is left with two tasks; getting the best out of Nasri and Dzeko instead. Can he do it? Our season could depend on it.
You've created a fictional narrative in your own head based on mountains of speculation about our club's intentions, Malaga's motivation to sell, other team's interest, and only seeing a player in a game or two. It may be correct, but there is a massively greater chance that it is wrong. We have not hear a single quote from Pellegrini or the club about Isco. Why not just wait until they hold their first press conference and actually speak directly?
And why is it down to Pellegrini to get the best out of Nasri and Dzeko? Don't the players share some responsibility for their own performance? The reason tabloids sell so well is that mongs like you actually think in terms of their headlines:
AFTER FAILING TO CAPTURE ISCO, WILL PELLEGRINI BE ABLE TO SAVE CITY FROM FAILURE?
BONE DRY; CITY SQUAD IN TATTERS AFTER MOST RECENT SNUB
CAVANI IS THE KEY TO GLORY; DO CITY HAVE THE GRIT TO GRAB HIM?
REAL TEACH CITY HOW TO DO BUSINESS; CITY BOARD UNAVAILABLE FOR COMMENT
HAS FFP FINALLY STOPPED CITY FROM BUYING SUCCESS?
You don't need Sky Sports, The Sun, or Daily Mail. Just read these comments and you get something even crazier.
