Who the fuck is Marti Pellow?

You must know that

Wikipedia tells me it's some dude who used to be in Wet Wet Wet. Also, apparently, has been voted most Scottish person in the world. Should I be impressed?

I bet if he'd been one of the Lighthouse Family you'd have known him.

Ancelotti presser just ended. Came across very well as always. He speaks hardly any Spanish but tried to blag it with his Italian. This charmed the assembled hacks.

Not sure if he is the most Scottish person but he was the classic Scottish footballer.

Scotland had loads of quality players when I was growing up, especially in attack (McCoist, Durie, McClair etc). Jordan Rhodes is pretty good now but you've been relying on the likes of Kenny Miller for the last decade. I don't get it.

Well I think it was pretty clear by now to everyone that he is going to Real.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'll tell you this much - nothing has been signed. I think he probably will end up there but I don't think it's set in stone. It was a very careful response from Ancelotti who ended with the remark 'He's one for the future'.

He wasn't going to be answering that many questions about him had he not knowing he is more or less signed. Time to move on. Unfortunately.

They are claiming elsewhere that Ancelotti said he doesn't know whether Isco will be a Real player in the future. Have you translated this yourself, od are you listening to a Spanish media version ?

I watched the presser live on TDP in Madrid. I'm just relaying what I saw and heard. He was saying that the Spain U21s shone and that Isco did above all others, adding that he'll be a great player in the future.

Ah, the Will Hunting of the University of Arts masquerading in real estate so he can pursue his real passion in the arts. NQDP can often be seen colouring in the pictures left on the corridor walls after dark. You are lucky man, Minnie Driver is quite a work of art herself, though not so much as Carlotta.

"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

That's more or less the idea I had in my head when I signed the contract.
