Gotta be bullshit. No way we'd bid that much but not pay 30-35m euros for Isco

The Daily Star suggests that Swansea’s Michu could be another name on City’s shortlist after the Spaniard enjoyed a sensational debut campaign at the Liberty Stadium – scoring 18 Premier League goals.

Before signing for the Swans, the 27-year-old had plied his trade exclusively in Spain, and reports suggest that could be key for new Blues boss, Manuel Pellegrini.

“Michu had spent his whole career in Spain, playing for Oviedo, Celta and Rayo Vallecano, before moving to the Premier League,” reports the paper’s Jack Wilson.

“And for the past nine years, Spain has been the base of new City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

“He enjoyed spells at Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga and knows the Spanish game - and its players - well.”

Top class journalism. Michu played in Spain; Pellegrini managed in Spain...City are in for Michu

Draxler report is bollox imo and Michu report is downright lazy arse journalism.

Where does Pepe fit into the Holistic future. I mean you can put him down for 3 reds 10 yellows, now.

On top of his assaults he has to be one the biggest diving cheats to have ever played the game. Mind blowing to be even linked.

You can never tell for sure if any player will survive in the Premier League & yes, he is a headcase, but imo if Pepe signed for City, he would immediately be our best actual defender.

He is used to having to defend as part of a team with many attacking players who don't neccessarily cover very well. If we are going to be less concerned on playing safe & more concerned about going forward, that is the kind of player you need.

Lescott & Vinny have both done it but aren't particularly great at it & Nastasic gets arse raped 7 times out of ten by any decent forward 1v1. Pepe has been dealing with that kind of situation for years & on the whole ranged between good, to brilliant at it.

He also seems strong in the air & he knows how to defend in Europe, which none of our defenders have been any good at.

I don't think we'll sign him but I'd be very happy if we did.

couple of points he is an athletic, pacey player, he is also 30 ? so a touch confused on the messages from the club.
Change of subject, how isn Rooney only 20/25 mill with 3yrs left on his deal, he will pay for himself on merchandise. I hate the twat BTW.

Imo (and I DON'T WANT HIM AT CITY!) Rooney is currently twice as good a signing as Isco & a much bigger loss to Utd, if he goes, than anything they gained by signing RVP or could gain by signing Lewandowski or Thiago or anyone else.

Rooney is the essence of Utd, like Ke***, Can***a, Nev**e etc. He is the kind of player who makes them what they are, good & bad.

If he wasn't who his is (if you get me) I would sign him above all other potential targets.

He is the best player potentially available in this window bar none & I really hope he leaves them. Losing him & the other twat in the same period would take some recovery.

For me with our build up play and now width with Navas, a combo of Lewandowski and Kun would be ideal, and more akin to the M.O, it might balance anything Pepe would or could be Questioned. The Pole can also do what he has done at Dortmund with his hold up the best in Europe, Kun on last 20 away in Europe would be perfect. If we stopped BM getting him great signing and 24.

Neville?? What the hell?! How can you put him in the same sentence as Keane or Cantona?!!

Neville was fuckin shit! Why do you think he retired and didn't continue his last few years with another club? He could have followed Beckscum to the US. But he knew he'd be found out by the few people who still thought he was decent.

Because it's about more than just talent. He had an influence on setting an attitude for the team, as Nige did for City. And compared to what they have now, he was Bobby Moore.

I disagree. That little twin isn't the best, but he's got more talent in his bellend than Neville had all together.

Completely with Ted on this - players like Rooney/Neville etc are the heartbeat of United. You take them out and you're directly taking part of that Ferguson 'we will win' attitude out of the team too. United would not be the same without Rooney. He invariably scores big goals for them and does often step it up when it matters. Neville was basically Ferguson's mouth piece on the pitch. Not the best, no, but a leader? Yep.

You think the players respected Neville? Hahahaha!!! Even their own fuckin fans didnt respect him, as was shown again Boro I believe when a section of their fans argued with him after the final whistle. It was common knowledge that Keane hated the Neville brothers.

Gary Neville was no leader!

Rooney and Keane (especially) I agree with.
