Rumour also has it that City have made no bid whatsoever for Negrado.

From Twitter (via @City_Watch):

BREAKING via El Desmarque: Sevilla have reached a "tenative agreement" with City for the sale of Álvaro Negredo. Fee could reach £24million.

The fee for Negredo will include several addons/variables according to El Desmarque and the transfer could be made official on Tuesday.

COPE and Estadio Deportivo both also reporting an agreed fee. Tomorrow could potentially see two additions to City's rebuilt forward line.

AS also reporting it - consider this one done with so many outlets reporting it. AS says the fee will be £21.6m up front + £2.5m variables.

Negrado is looking good, according to the Spanish media.

Yet it is thought that Moyes could have signed Thiago over the course of the past weeks, with the delay in his finally leaving for Bayern being down to United's manager not being completely convinced by the 22-year-old. Although it is understood Thiago was keen on joining United, there were suggestions from some at the club that he might struggle on occasion to cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

HAHAHAHA

If this is a sign of things to come, this next season will be great. Beautiful intricate football from Yaya, Silva, Fernandinho, Navas, Aguero, Nasri, and Jovetic... VS ..."quit fuckin about and hoof it to the corner"

Why the fuck are all reports (no, not just twitter) tonight saying we're keeping Kolarov despite interest from Juventus and Inter for him ... apparently Pellegrini's orders ...

I think more than liking him as a player, he sees him as cover for left back as we don't have anyone else there and he said recently 2 for each spot is a must.

I hope though that he can be sold ... but then I am still hoping for Isco changing his mind (persuaded by the new boss) ... so I guess, never mind!

Agree all round. He's the kind of player I'd love, well known, attacking, young. Brilliant.

He is a great player - he carried that Arsenal team through so many games.

He was great to watch during his time in the Premier League. For that reason, if he was to return to the league I hope it wouldn't be to 'them'.

I have no problem keeping him, we will get fuck all for him anyway and hes not a bad second choice, decent option off the bench if we are home and struggling to break teams down. Will also help keep Nastastic and Dzeko company.

Absolute classic sycophantic Utd worshipping shite from The Guardian's Jamie Jackson today, just the sort of absolute codswallop Utd fans lap up to try and reinforce that no-one ever snubs them - and I quote ...

"Moyes has turned his attention to the 26-year-old after Thiago Alcântara joined Bayern Munich from Barcelona for £21.6m. Yet it is thought that Moyes could have signed Thiago over the course of the past weeks, with the delay in his finally leaving for Bayern being down to United's manager not being completely convinced by the 22-year-old. Although it is understood Thiago was keen on joining United, there were suggestions from some at the club that he might struggle on occasion to cope with the physicality of the Premier League."

So there you go. Despite every newspaper and Spanish media source confirming United had agreed terms with the player, and a fee, but he chose Bayern over them, of course United "weren't convinced" and he was actually "keen to join United" and not his mentor Pep Guardiola and the all conquering and treble winning Bayern squad.

Honestly, you couldn't make it up. Mr Jackson should be working for Utd's PR dept with that utter tosh - in a way I suppose he is. Quite sad. He is The Guardian's new Manchester footy correspondent replacing the far superior Daniel Taylor, so at least whenever you read any of Mr Jackson's stuff on City you will be fully aware of the angle he's coming from.

Apparently Jackson is a frequent visitor to mutv (the official one, not sky), so a bona fide scumbag and no mistake.

This is a weekly thing.

When you think of how many times every single shitbag paper referred to isco's city snub and not fucking once do they do the same with Thiago after identical circumstances.

I know there are still fuckheads on here that haven't seen any evidence of media bias, but surely they must almost be smelling a rat at this stage.

Ok so by the end of the week we will likely have Negredo and jovetic, great business. We have navas and fernandinho as well, we desperately need cover for our CB unless he is going to deploy Richards in that role as a back up to joleon, vinny and nasti. Not seen any likely candidates as cover so far, should have kept Kolo IMO.

I suppose salary and game time were the issues with Kolo. If they werent then yeh id have offered another year. we were linked with Novaretti but thats gone quiet although i know nothing about him. as you say maybe richards or garcia(maybe).. will be used as cover

I think if we land JoJo and Negrado and find a good backup centrehalf(Pepe perhaps?) I'd say we have done remarkably well this window.
