happy for lambert. give him half a chance and he will finish, unlike rooney and welbeck who flop more chances than they convert.

unfortunately he will be lucky if he even gets in the squad let alone a game.

top english scorer last seasons.

welbeck scores one and gets to start ahead of him, ridiculous.
Still here.

great game for the US ... Altidore on fire. Looking forward to seeing how he does at Sunderland ... though I think Sunderland are gash.

Ivory Coast's B team looks awful. They cannot cross to save their lives nor can they keep the ball in the final third. Poor Bony up their on an island
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

All in all, last night I thought England succeeded in making a poor Scottish team look better than they were.

Welbeck's ball control, especially his first touch, is basically non-existent and although Dzeko does exasperate us at times in this respect, Welbeck is consistently diabolical. The mantra which should be drubbed into England's players is; 'if you want to squander possesion, give it to Welbeck'.

Apart from one fortunate (??) pass, I still don't know and can't fathom out what Cleverly actually brings to the table.

Watching Walker plod up and down the pitch in uninspired and mindless fashion, I just felt it was calling out for Micah's rampaging runs into the box. From watching that game, I thought Walker might actually be a better prospect at centre back, rather than full back and certainly better than Phil Jones in that position (which goes without saying, really).

Cahill looked very pedestrian throughout the evening and Joe's current inconsistency and mistakes are becoming a concern; hope this situation doesn't continue in City's games.

Taking everything into account, I can't see England qualifying for Rio so, without us being in Brazil, at least we can all concentrate on watching some proper footballing teams out there.

Why won't the US be there?

As for the game mate, it has to be taken as an isolated game. To put it in perspective, it'd be like the US taking on the USSR during the cold war. OK, not quite but you get my drift.
