I consciously sat down at 5 to 6 to see how long into the match it would be before mentioning them. I didn't have to wait long as he did it in the warm-up when doing Tosic.

The last commentary match I watched with him he couldn't stop mentioning 'the team across town, the team you used to play for (to GN)' etc etc

It's not that hard to contemplate. They show a huge amount of matches, including plenty of City ones, they show La Liga, the CL, heck even the odd league cup game.
They also broadcast other sports (yes other sports do exist) like Cricket, tennis, rugby, formula 1 etc which people enjoy.

And I'd far rather pay for that then watch on a crappy stream on the internet.
Yeah the commentators are a bit shit but don't get why so many people care. When I'm watching a match I'm focusing far too much to even give a shit or listen to what the commentators are saying. It's not like you have them at a game is it?

I fully agree they're wankers and can't stand that Murdoch cunt who's behind it all.
But still, they provide a quality service with a huge selection of sports. And yes the streams can be decent but they are never going to be as good as watching the game on an HD TV.

You just need to find someone with Sky and share their feed on Sky Go. It's even legit - there's a part on the 'your account' section where they let you set up others to have access to it. 60Mb broadband, laptop, hdmi, big TV and not a penny to Murdoch - wonderful.

That is very true. Their coverage of all sports is excellent. Can't afford myself but go round to father in laws to watch games or to the pub, where you cant hear commentary anyway.

However it would be nice to have unbiased commentators. Is it too much to ask for?

When Sky first started, there was an option to have the atmosphere without the commentary. Unfortunately they've done away with it.

As for saying I'll watch it on Sky, I'd happily not do if you can suggest somewhere else that was showing the match last night with a good quality picture. Unfortunately, it's Sky or nothing, so I prefer to go for the free version of Sky.

I also don't recall saying I hated Sky. The complaint was about the commentator, not the quality of the programme.
