More to the point, who shoulder play in defensive/ Right side midfield after a class performance by James Milner...... Hope the Count pays attention........also thought JL did well with a negative defence........Dedrick, sorry mate ur just not good enough........Micah, why were you more Advanced than Navas for most of the match?
Any MP take note of good indvidual perferomance in a relatively lack lust performance
PS Silva CLASS!! yet again when he came on :-)
MOM: MILNER by a mile

MOTM by a country mile was Lescott, both defensively & on the ball. Milner was dogshit 1st half & his hoof over the bar, with the keeper stranded should lead to a fine. Excellent when he moved centrally.
Re the thread: If Panti & JL turn in performances like that, then they don't get given a chance, when the blokes currently in situ are dropping clangers every week; what is the point in any player bothering in this competition at all ?
They were asked to produce & they did so, miles better than the current favourites.
There MUST be rewards for this or we'll just have a repeat of the Mancini situation where players don't respect the manager.

I don't think I would go as far as to say Lescott was that good on the ball. But much better overall than the player who has been in his place of late. From a man management point of view Pellegrini has a job on if he leaves Joe and Nasti out but he should and they should accept it.
He would have a much much bigger man management job on his hands if he doesn't play Costel and Lescott. Not just those 2 but wouldn't others in the team be wondering?

That's what I mean; no players would believe him.
Check a recording of the game & how many passes Lescott got off, with no midfield to pass to & hardly any movement ahead, whilst being closed down by Newcastle players. If he was Spanish, people would be sucking his dick now.

He did a decent job, against ab average forward line, he was close to a disaster after a minute or so with the ball refusing to stop rolling under both feet. He is a good defender if kept in his slot, reads danger, I think Boyata was also good on the night, tough 60 mins from Shola he needs games to see if he has it. I think Hart hart has to be dropped or you send a very bad message to him and in turn Panti.
