Asking me who I'd rather have in my team is different to asking who the better player is.

Purely objectively, if you ignore their personalities, then I'd say Suarez. I think he's the more talented player and over the last 18 months or so has been consistently better than Aguero. Scored more, assisted more, scored in more games However you look at it, he's been the better player and he's done it in an inferior side.

But I'm not sure I could stomach seeing that cunt in a City shirt.

I never claimed it was the same.

When you're considering who the better player is then all attributes have to be taken into the equation imo including character, which Aguero wins hands down. There's also the team to consider so teamwork is another attribute that's important, again Aguero wins out here for me. Technical ability, finishing, pace, dribbling etc. there's very little to choose between them with Suarez possibly having the edge slightly.

Another thing to note is that you're comparing both over 18 months in which Aguero was carrying an injury for almost 12 of them months.

He may have been carrying a slight injury but that shouldn't totally excuse his form. He was poor last season. He'll admit that himself.Maybe it was the manager? Maybe the system but he just wasn't producing the goods and just didn't look like he was enjoying his football. He blew very hot and cold.
Last season Suarez was hands down the better and more consistent player. This season Aguero's been superb but Suarez has still scored two more in 3/4 fewer games. And as I mentioned before, in terms of consistency, they have the same ratio of total games played to games they've scored in.

I just think Suarez is an absolute magician of a footballer, I don't even know if Messi or Ronaldo could score 3 goals of that quality in a single game. It was like watching a match on Fifa. Watching the first and third especially. Just phenomenal.
If only he wasn't such a cunt.

Again mate, I never suggested it should totally excuse his form but surely has to be factored in?

Let's go back 30 months

This fucker will be rubbing his hands together at the thought of playing against our creaking defence. The question is can they keep us out at the other end?

There are loads of mad stats about him right now. Hes scored more goals in the last 12 games than 5 of the last 20 golden boot winners have, apparently. Thats just nuts.

For me I'd never swap Aguero for Suarez, but I think I'd make Suarez the better player. *right now* hes probably the best player in the world, although I don't expect him to be able to keep up his form and consistency forever. I mean, even on 'average' form hes still impressive, but nowhere near how he has played this season.

In fairness to him I've noticed a huge improvement in his on the field attitude too, seems to do far less bitching and less diving. Maybe being given the captains armband for a few games helped.

I wonder if he worked with a psychiatrist over the summer or something.

Would I swap Suarez for Sergio? No. Would I choose Suarez if we had neither? Yes.

Sergio freed the Elves and lifted the dark curtain.

Suarez would have sold his soul and never looked back.

This thread is a disgrace to Kun's legacy IMHO. Sort it out you fuclers.

This time next week he will realise signing that contract was a mistake.

I seriously hope so... I can't help but feel that he's signed a contract and got all the dippers giddy, he'll be playing for Real or Barca (to replace Messi?) next year.

If his agent is any good, there will be a proper release clause this time, plus a clause if they don't make the top 4.

I suspect this is a new contract to increase his salary and increase what Liverpool get for him when Madrid come.

Without a doubt. £60m for the release clause?

Considering Bale went for more than that, I suspect it'll be higher even without CL. If they get CL, it may be so high that even Madrid think twice. Although hopefully not so high that they turn their attention to Aguero.

So I guess aguero no longer has the title of best goals to minute ratio the premier league has ever seen?

Can't help but think this is the only reason this contract was signed.
First or fifth in the league, still gone in the summer I reckon

I love Aguero, but Suarez is just on another level this season.
He has 19 goals in half a season, which considering he missed the first 5 or 6 games is startling.
Possibly the most technically gifted player I've seen in the PL, up there with even the likes of Henry and Ronaldo.

Draws madrids eyes away from kun and their midfield is wank.

If we play 5 in midfield against them we will win that game because Suarez will be feeding on scraps and won't get any support.
