I'm afraid I'm currently the only person who is not satisfied with wee davey's performance. If he keeps this up he'll be gone before Christmas and I want him there for another season as the damage he'll have done will be irreparable. If they lose against the barcodes he'll be gone by Monday. Not good enough!

They play the Barcodes next and are without Rooney, RVP and Carrick, probably their 3 best players.
Really fancy Newcastle to get something from that game.

I think its quite possible they will win their next 5 games and get into the top 4 spots. Under Ferguson they would have done, but they seem to lack the cutting edge completely now with Moyes in there. Without RVP and Rooney they are much weaker too. The weaker sides are definitely going to be able to run them close and hopefully will have the confidence too.

I've always maintained that they are still in the title race and can win it, but have to admit its looking difficult after that loss now. They would probably need to win 20/21 of their last 24 games to win the title, and they don't look nearly good enough to be able to do that. If they were second 12 points behind Arsenal you would think they could still catch them, but they are also 6/8 points behind us and Chelsea and it doesn't seem too likely all 3 sides are going to drop lots of points until the end of the season.

And long may it continue!

If they drop points over the next few games too I'm going to start rooting very hard for Liverpool/Everton/Spurs victories too, although I do think Utd will still recover to overtake them all to finish in the top 4.

And that will be grand!

I think there will be a title race this season between the top three, Us, Chelsea and Arse and then there will be that 4th spot fight between Liverpool and Scum or well maybe Liverpool will fight it out with Newcastle and Everton.

Whither now for united fans?

I guess it's a choice for them of supporting either Arsenal or Chelsea. If they wait until after Christmas there may be shirts on special offer. Do you think the Disasters Emergency Committee might step in with some aid to get them clothed? After all, their red gingham shirts, sweet though they are, won't fetch much on ebay. We don't want them to suffer in the cold weather.

For the tiny percentage who get to matches at the swamp, for 80, 70, 60 or 50 minutes depending on the score, their carbon footprint will improve no end if their team is now just round the corner.

Let's not be too harsh: it's a difficult time for them.

Steady on, never wish for Liverpool victories, they are just as bad as the filth. Everton I quite like now, so go Everton and Spurs I am trying hard not to hate, but '81 still hurts.

I don't like Liverpool and almost never want them to win, but they are nowhere near as bad as the rags. My priorities are whatever is best for us, then whatever is worst possible for Utd, and then the rest I basically don't care about.

I gave wee Davie a satisfied for a promising start, but to stay there he needs to improve in the rest of the season on three things - out of the cups, force Rooney to leave while failing to recruit in the January window and alienate the press. He's got it in him though.

As for Everton, the manager is an improvement but the fans are still just as bitter with their 'istry and jibes about money. No higher than 5th please.

Exclusive: Man United Planning Summer Sacking if David Moyes Fails to Secure Champions League Qualification

Man United’s board are reportedly set to discuss potential contingency plans should the Old Trafford side fail to secure an all important Champions League berth at the end of the current campaign.

CaughtOffside understands that whilst the Premier League title holders are on the face of it fully backing boss David Moyes they are privately concerned about the club’s poor showing thus far this season.

The Scot was appointed in the summer chiefly due to the personal backing he received from his predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson but Man United may be forced to act swiftly to axe the former Everton manager should he fail to secure, at the very least, a top four finish.

Indeed such is the concern that there is a certain amount of reticence about providing large sums to invest in the squad during the January transfer window for fear that this outlay fails to lead to tangible success which in turn would result in a new appointment who would also then demand further investment in the squad.

Man United find themselves in ninth place in the Premier League table having collected just six wins from their opening 14 matches and there is a growing sentiment that David Moyes may be out of his depth at the English giants.

Moyes has been employed on a six year contract and whilst Man United know that bringing that deal to a halt at the end of the season would entail a hefty pay off there are many who would deem that preferable to the club being led by a manager not suitable for the post and the high expectations that are associated with a side of their stature.

With this in mind Man United will look to draw up possible targets to takeover from Moyes should the club continue to nosedive.

Man United have finished in the top four in the top tier in each of the past 22 seasons and anything less will seemingly result in a change of management less than a year into David Moyes’s Old Trafford reign.

Let's hope he does enough NOT to get sacked before the end of the season.

Finish 4th then lose in the CL play-offs. He's done it before.

Chortle, chortle.

If the rags are looking for a new manager at the end of the season I recommend Steve Bruce. He's got sides promoted in the past.

if he wasn't such a selfish cunt he would have just fucked off on holiday at some distillery for a year or two after he retired. Only reason he shows up is for his own ego. As you said, undermines gollum completely.

When deciding to retire (in business or sport), either stay on or fuck off completely. Trust that you've picked your successor well enough, and that your staff have been properly trained. Oh, wait. Gollum sacked all the staff. May this slide long continue until relegation!

I love Moyes and I love the job he's doing. Keep it up and lets see how the financial impact from possibly struggling to get into europa goes down!!!

Was chatting with a dirty rag this morning who thinks they'll struggle due to fact teams ain't going to roll over for them like they did over bacon chops.

Fingers crossed they do a Leeds!!!
