Nobody knows what's going to happen and the thought that PG would give guarantees of turning up at ours whilst he maybe winning everything over there just seems alien to me.
It wouldn't be a guarantee. I am currently trying to form a group of former coworkers -- friends really-- into a new team and we always knew we wanted to work together again. Friends do that. I'm sure they've sat around over some chorizo and rioja and said "barca was awesome. We need to do it again somewhere."
Esss normal.
Well my first thought when I heard rumours of these Spanish blokes coming in, was whather HRH & Khaldoon had a plan for a Pep/Messi/Barca style setup. But Soriano hadn't arrived yet & I didn't know for absolute certain that Txiki was coming, or if Txiki actually rated Pep. Then I read up on it & found that that Txiki thinks Pep is basically God in human form. Therefore the idea Txiki wouldn't want Pep, is a non starter. To get Pep, thanks to Bayern's interest, they would have almost certainly have had to promise him that Mancini was going which was impossible at the time. When it did happen it was too late.
When Pep agreed to go to Bayern, at that very time, he stated that he intends to manage in England in the future. I'm pretty certain that Pep will not have agreed a deal to come to City in threee years time, but I also think it's very unlikely we are not his first choice for if/when he does come over here.
So the next manager imo, after the Count, they will be hoping for Pep, be that 3,4,5 years. If they have to sack the Count, it spoils the continuity & possibly loses them Pep, as a young relatively successful manager would be unsackable. If Pep falls in love with Bayern, then he will sign a contract extension halfway & that will be that.
But they are an obnoxious bunch of cunts & we are nice, so it's a possibility.
If he is coming here one day & we don't get him though, the rags probably will.
