Winning ugly is a skill in itself. Cant win every game by a cricket score and Palace are much tougher now.

On 2 days rest the pts are all important. We got em, they got fucl all. Nuff said. Nice to see Joe react to demotion in the correct manner, battle back and show hes still the man.

To all the media outlets who slagged off Pellegrini for him dropping Hart - anything to say now?

Great win and good to see Edin scoring. Despite the kicking he gets, he remains an important member of our squad. On to Swansea with Ya Ya, Ferna and Nasri big keys given Merlins absence.

Not saying Garcia is useless, talking about an alternative more attacking option for breaking teams that park. What I suggested might not be ideal/wrong but am not being a hypocrite.

Pre- meditated imo and that is very disappointing , did not expect that from Silva.

They were breaking at us so he took one for the team.Should have left him so that Garcia could sprint across to cut him off?

The rest will do him good.

Pulis is right.the least Palace should have got was a point. After all they had 23 per cent of the possession!

Not having that doug. Five minutes earlier he looked like he was trying to get himself in the book. Maybe pellers was in charge of the math again...

Just got back, if a team like palace parks the bus, the only way to beat it is to pass quickly to other players not across the halfway line for 20 passes, not much moment from our players today but its 3 points so oh and glad joe had a good game today

There are two key things about playing teams who park the bus. First, use the flanks. We badly missed Zabaleta on the right. Boyata played ok but never looked like getting into advanced positions. Clichy can't cross for fuck so Kolarov was missed until he came on and promptly put in a couple of good crosses. Second, on the rare occasions when the Opposition attack we need to counter at lightning speed. Once they're all back in position patience is the key; shifting the ball from one flank to the other opening relying on clever movement and an incisive pass to carveout an opening. It's understandable that the crowd get frustrated but the players are taught not to get frustrated and lump it long.

Hmmm ... like Yaya a strategic yellow!

But it all gets reset end of year ... are you saying Pelligrini didn't know?

I think Silva was slotted to come off and Yaya to come on but then Milner took a knock and was struggling and I think motioned to the bench which is why Kolarov came on and Silva was left on ...

Did you see the tackle mate? That's exactly what it looked like. Two shifty tackles in the palace third, the first on 84, the second a ridiculous scissor from behind on 88 minutes. Lol.

It did look like big Dave purposely got himself booked and I'm wondering if it was Dave's turn to sit the next game out anyway. He's played the majority of the last 4 games in 10 days so I expect he needs a rest.

Either that or Pellers got his sums/stats wrong again ;-)

So you would have been happy if he let him run at us? Not sure there was anyone to stop him in front of the back 4.

I would have expected him to know he was on a ban and track the run. I can't see why you're defending what he did. Palace had 90 minutes to run at us and barely attempted it, not like we were 88 mins vs Liverpool with Suarez on the break. Then maybe I would accept it.

It looked like he done it on purpose.

Hadn't realised it was his 5th, but I said at the game that it looked as if he wanted New Year off.
