There has been a lack off transparency with his injuries, contradictions ,misinformation. I don't blame the Club, at the end off the day I don't see what City can do if a player keeps telling them he is injured, other than try and protect their investment by trying to release something plausible to satisfy the fans natural curiosity.

Depending who you believe then Jovetic had his heart set on a move to Juventus in the summer. Unfortunately Juventus could not afford the transfer fee. City could and bought him.

As we all know he has hardly kicked a ball for 6 months. Yet strangely it appears not to have dissuaded Juventus or Fiorentina from inquiring about his availability on loan for the rest off the season.

I have this irrational fear that maybe the player or his agent might be deliberately trying to decrease the value off our investment to such an extent that City might be forced to take what they can get and take a heavy hit and lose a substantial outlay in the process.

All will be revealed in the coming weeks, hopefully he will return and play a key part in our run in,we badly need him,and i will be proved to have an over active imagination. If he doesn't return though, and starts citing that he is still injured then in my opinion you have to start thinking there could be an ulterior motive to his long term absence, and that him and his agent might be taking the metaphorical out off City to engineer his cut price move to Juventus in the summer when our £24,000 000 investment is vastly reduced to such an extent that Juventus can afford it, win win for Jovetic, his agent ,Juventus ,City big losers.

Sorry, I smell a rat here, I totally distrust Italian Clubs.

Do you by any chance, work for Talksport ?
Chill out,it is only my opinion, that i am sharing with others on a City football forum. No need for sly digs given some off the stuff you write yourself on here is there ?.

You think that was an example of me 'not' chilled out ?

I'm just guessing from your comments & making a conclusion, like you are doing with Jovetic. What's the difference ?

I have as much 'evidence' as you do.

Ok, to be fair, thinking about it, if not Talksport; do you work for the Daily Mirror ?

Or the Mail ?
What you on about conclusion ?,where do i conclude anything ?.

Read properly,i it is only an opinion.

I didn't give an opinion, I asked a question.

If I was being uncivil, & giving an opinion, I would have said that I think your opinion is a load of unsubstantiated gossiping tittle tattle shite, totally unfair & uncalled for & completely out of order considering nothing has been proved & indeed nothing further has been said on the matter by the club in recent times, to merit any further rumour mongering. I would also have said that if a City player was proven to be having the club over, then I would be right in there giving them shit, but as nothing hs been proven whatsoever, I consider those who are spreading shit about one of our own players, without any concrete evidence, to be doing the job of our enemies for them.

But I didn't say any of that. You have dragged it out of me. Well done.

I just asked a light hearted question for a bit of banter, & tried to indicate to you that the kind of stuff you are posting, is imo not unlike the m.o. of a tabloid journalist.

You were clearly wounded by this small comment & chose to make derogatory comments about my posting in general, & my general attitude, which is not something I levelled at you.

But tbh, I'm not arsed what you think of me or my posting style, I'm just arsed about City fans spreading shit about one of our own players without any proven reason.

If he turns out to be a cunt, we will have plenty of time to give him shit for it.

Meanwhile, he is a top City player who is currently injured, & could be the bloke we need to score the winner v Barca for all we know.

I wish everyone would stop disrespecting him unless there is a proven reason he deserves it.

For all those chastising the ones questioning the legitimacy of the injury reports. Can you tell me what injury he has and how long he's out for?

I started this thread not to disrespect our player but because we need him. The comments indicate the club should in fairness issue something explaining what's wrong e.g hamstring etc. That way were all happy and know that at some point he will take the field to defeat our rivals in the league. Pelligrini saying were trying for all four titles suggests he's confident in the team. So lets hear about the progress of another fantastic player, not much to ask for really is it.

You could have asked the same question about Vincent Kompany.

Nobody knew exactly what was wrong or how long he would be out & each time they brought him back he broke down again. They still don't know now if he will last the season & neither does he; they just hope that his troubles have finished.

Same has been happening with Rodwell. They solve a problem, he looks ok running about, then after the game he's out for a month with something else next to it. Nobody says he's doing it on purpose.

It's one thing complaining that these blokes are injured too easily & fair comment. It isn't fair comment to make up stories about them unless people have evidence to back it up.

If I read definite evidence a Cty player was doing this shit deliberately, I'd be there with my torch & pitchfork at the front.

I haven't seen one single shred of evidence about anything re Jovetic, anywhere, just City fans, making up stories about one of their own players.

If Talksport or The Mirror did the same, people would be livid, & the thing is, sooner or later if this shit from City fans keeps up; they will.

Absolutely bang on - it's all about having a bit of respect for our players and the people running our club - no point in making up nonsense to trash the reputations of our own when we already have reporters getting paid to do the damage.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

If these two can stay fit this'll be a huge bonus for us given the amount of games coming up. Fingers crossed.

Last month, there was a bollox about Carroll. Aparantly he had the same probleme Wio had with drugs in the past and there was a secret deal between the FA with WHU not to use him and they will not fine him and he will be available for the World Cup.

Bollox

However, this is the most common thing i can think about this player. I remember Fiorentina had those type of problems in the past, remember that my crackhead romanian, Mutu was banned because he used some losing weight pills.

This kid may be suffering from somepersonal issues that he or the club do not want making public.

Let's cut him a bit of slack eh.

When it all finally came out about Michael Johnson having suffered serious mental health issues for a number of years, a lot of folk were left looking like proper stupid cunts weren't they.

This boy is a cracking player and if we can help him to get right, he will be a top player for us for many years to come.

Another return:

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... ted-return

Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic is set to make a long-awaited return to first team action next week, according to manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The Montenegro international has only made five appearances since his £22 million switch from Fiorentina in the summer of 2013.

Jovetic has only one Premier League start to his name and has not featured since October, leading to speculation that the 24-year-old is suffering from homesickness.

However, speaking ahead of Wednesday's FA Cup replay against Blackburn Rovers at the Etihad Stadium, Pellegrini confirmed both Jovetic and midfielder Jack Rodwell should return to training in the coming days.

When asked whether Jovetic would get a run in the cup clash, Pellegrini said: "Not this week. But next week him and Jack Rodwell will be fit."

Pellegrini has remained staunch in defence of Jovetic when suggestions of a move have been mooted, claiming the player has been struggling with injuries.

Jovetic's return will add further potency to an already formidable strike force with Sergio Aguero back fit after a calf injury; while in his absence Edin Dzeko has partnered Alvaro Negredo as free-scoring City netted 22 goals in eight matches.

Rodwell, meanwhile, has made just one Premier League start, and two substitute appearances, in the sky blue of City since switching from Everton in 2012.

Im pretty relaxed about the whole thing. Its not like we have missed him. If he is genuinely injured and comes back and plays like he can then it will be like a new signing (again). If he is unhappy then I sure we will cash in and get someone else. The board are not going to let the issue fester.
