They flagged a goal offside and he was literally yards onside.

What a difference the substitutes have made. Gonna end up unlucky not to have won this one.

Is it far too early to be getting excited about this Faour kid? There's some talent in that lad.

Also, how appropriate that the winner would have been typical of our first team. The opposition have an attacking free kick and we break and score.

Holistic.

Really enjoyable to watch with a dose of frustration thrown in. Yet again we see some top talented footballers playing some great stuff but defensively we were atrocious at times. The you throw in the officials who were just appalling you get crazy games like that.On a good day we would win 5 nil and on a bad one we might even lose it due to sloppiness.

Faour really does have great quality but Patching and Ernest stood out when they came on and really changed the game.

well i stopped...i didn't realize i hadn't "caught up"....odd.

Some really quality kids in that display....a fun match.

Clearly...the "holistic" approach of scoring more than they do is in full effect.

cheers

Most of these lads have got a chance imo. Some of the starting 11 were clearly younger & not used to playing together.

It's dependant on how they develop physically imo. The ability is there already, it's the added ability to do it with someone like Yaya Toure or Lescott mowing through you or the defenders to stop the likes of Negredo & Aguero. That will be the decider with most of those, & imo that also goes for a fair few of the lads in the current U18s & EDS.

The first touch, skill & eye for a pass is already there with many of them & just needs refining. And the 3 Nigerian lads we are rumoured to be signing are exactly the same.

I don't think these defenders are so bad either, just not so well organised.

Btw, the lino last night was equally as bad as the one today. They are getting over 50% wrong, & some by several yards.

that ernest kid apparently is not one of ours, he's from the ghanaian academy that we basically get our pick of any of their players, Right to Dream. i imagine after this tournament we'll be picking him.
