This Weekends Other Games

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This Weekends Other Games

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Feb 01, 2014 12:16 pm

Not a bad weekend of football even though there's no real big games apart from ours. Starting off with the Tyne Wear Derby and finishing with what could be a huge game in the league race, this weekends only certainty is that every game is uncertain; even the Arse v Palace game.

Today

Newcastle v Sunderland 12:45
West Ham v Swansea 12:45
Cardiff v Norwich 15:00
Everton v Aston Villa 15:00
Fulham v Southampton 15:00
Hull v Tottenham 15:00
Stoke v Man Utd 15:00

Tomorrow

West Brom v Liverpool 13:30
Arsenal v Crystal Palace 16:00
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

The mini-derby can be found if you wiz your wig. But be warned it is filthtv so be quick on that mute button folks.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Fucking rag scum took out Boadu with a nasty challenge, hope it's not a broken leg.

Totally utterly outclassed them. 2-0, could have been ten.

Arthur Albiston is usually pretty fair & was for most of this game, his mate wasn't too bad tbf but at the end it all came out; City's lads are that bit older, that bit bigger & it needs to be remembered that the Utd lads are a bit more tired because they played midweek.

Then they gave an example of Thierry Ambrose holding off Evans to score the 2nd goal 'that bit older, better physique etc'.

Ambrose was born in March '97. Callum Evans was born in October '95.

Ted -- what are you talking about?

I think Palace have a chance at getting a point tomorrow, they look a different side since Pulis came in. That could be the beginning of an Arsenal slide too.

I *knew* Sunderland would win today. They suddenly become invincible whenever they play us or play Newcastle. Desperately want them to get relegated, but as things stand, they are 12th!!

Crazy season. The good news is that with West Ham winning Stoke are now in the bottom 3. When Hughes got hired I said I really wanted Stoke to go down, its what they deserve for hiring a man that had only just destroyed QPR.

To be honest the current bottom 3, who are all on a terrible run of form, would be perfect to get cutoff and get relegated. All 3 have ex rags as manager.

I used to love him and think he was amazing, and thought he should have been one of the first names in the England team because he had so much talent.

I'm almost the opposite now, he clearly doesn't have the work ethic to make it big and hes found his level now. I don't think he should be picked for England, there are more deserving players. For some reason this really irritates me, I'd give anything to have his footballing talent and potential, but hes wasting it.

Wonder if Pellers would have had a positive affect on him like he has with Nasri and Kolo ...

Disagree about your view on their being more deserving of a place in the England side. If hes fit, firing and doing the business he gets into the England side. If he were Spanish, German, French or Dutch youd have a point...for they generally have a deeper pool of tricky players who can beat people, we on the other hand have very few

To be honest that's fair. The England team is garbage anyway, so I suppose hes probably good enough even without trying.

The U18s battering the scum 2.0.

I didn't think it would need Sherlock Holmes to figure that out, especially seeing as it was mentioned about 2 posts ahead of mine.
