I said whilst watching the game that it's probably the best finish I've ever seen from Herbert Anchovy, & was wondering if he'd mishit it whilst aiming for the back of the stand.

That centre back who Fat Sam has just signed, who played against us; looks & plays as if he's just woke up & smoked 3 spliffs. He's on my list but I can't remember his name.

Quite a few of these characters, they get relegated or benched, then some cunt signs them & they're back on the gravy train. Cameron Jerome being a perfect example.

If there are no better strikers in the lower leagues, or Scotland or even on Hough End or Hackney Marshes, than Jerome or Walters, or Altidore, then the whole lower system outside the Premier League is fucked.

Disagree. His career stats read 449 games and 184 goals. In the Premier League, 37 in 79 for Charlton, 25 in 79 for Spurs, 36 in 63 for Sunderland and 25 in 64 for Villa. He's not the greatest player for sure but has consistently scored goals throughout his career.

this thread is about the worst, m8ost dire players who had no right to play at the top level. Someone with a better than 1 in 3 record does not fit the bill. He's also the 20th top all time Pl scorer. This is about the worst players like ameobi, altidore or bramble. Not players who could have put more of a shift in.

why not debate the topic rather than throw about a petty insult? I am genuinely intrigued that you think he's one of the worst Pl players and when I showed some stats that he's been a relative success everywhere he's gone bar Fulham, you start to patronize. Maybe now he's gone a bit shit as he heads towards the end of his career but someone who has scored over 100 PL goals is certainly not 'masquerading as a PL footballer'. More than Drogba, Torres, RVN, Bergkamp, Tevez etc.

When Gill decided to join UEFA his main rival was Portugese (and the leading candidate for the position if I remember correctly), however he rather conveniently dropped out of the running just before the position was filled - not long before that, a strange homeless fucker called Bebe was bought from a Portugese club for a rather large sum (something like 7 million?) without having been scouted. Far be it for me to cry foul and suggest that Bebe was used as a vehicle to get a rather large bribe fund into the country and have it disappear off the radar from a traceable point of view - I would certainly never level those sort of accusations at Man Utd.

Peter Crouch has a fantastic goal scoring to games ratio for England - one of the countries best strikers? When you look at the teams he scored against it would be debatable.

With Bent it's application, journeyman in the most professional sense, a player who strolls onto the pitch and pretty much cant be arsed - whats worse a player with zip all talent or a player with talent who decides its easier to kick back, not play and almost take early, well paid, retirement?

There are a few players that fit into the 'Titus' mould, and in my view throwing stats around is not debating the point its using wiki. If my take on this isn't within highly specific boundaries then so be it, i make no apologies.

The above is simply my own impression of a player that i believe has been taking a couple of clubs as an early retirement fund - there where no time constraints set when this player would suddenly stop being an affective footballer - even Titus would have been able to kick a ball straight at some point in his life ... Out side the box thinking, or is it blue sky thinking?

So in my view, as a striker in the peak years of his playing career - with good historic stats - is actually stealing a career as a footballer and has been for a few seasons. I believe the key word is Peak - he should be challenging for an England spot but for at least the last two seasons has spat his dummy out, strolled around a pitch when he managed to get on some turf and pretty much cashed in his chips not long after his 'big money move'.

And as for petty insults accusing 'people' of missing the points of threads and critiquing their opinions with nothing but wiki stats could be taken as insulting if i was as highly strung as yourself but its cool, like water off a ducks back mate.
