In the grand scheme of things it's not damaged us too much and if it gives us the kick we need it's worth it. Rather have championship pairing of Lescott and Kompany any day over Nasti or Demi.

Demi's liability makes everyone around him nervous. So does Nasti who looked like a bullied whimp.

Dzeko isn't clinical and any of us could score 50 goals in 3 years in the teams he's played in during that time.

Beast needs a break in the sun.

Time for Milner, Jojo and Lescott to have a settled run in the team to keep the 11 fresh. I know Lescott can't pass but he is better than anything else left right now.

Ah well such is. The difference was ferdi out and hazzard. Just one of those days. Zabba just a little off it, Edin needs to go back to being on the bench and let jovetic have a good run in the team while Serg is out.

Thank god for the woodwork. Maybe if Silva had put it away early on things might have been different.

Only good thing out of tonight is Ms Rural given me a promise to cheer me the fuck up!

Would of been a different game with fernandinho and aguero fit and lescott starting over that shithouse nastasic. Only worry is it looked like a Mancini team out there, nowhere near enough right in them tonight bar kompany and silva.

Let mourinho have his cup final and prove he is the best tactician in the game. When pellers is sitting on 2 or more trophies at the end of the season Jose will still be talking about winning at the etihad.

No wonder Pellegrini has got such a shit record against Maureen his fucking tactics tonight were woeful, not just woeful but I mean FUCKING WOEFUL.

We were comprehensively beaten tonight because our prick off a manager just sat there like a fucking idiot for 94 minutes and watched us overrun in midfield. Chelsea could have scored 6 goals tonight such was their dominance. We used 1 substitute just 1 FUCKING SUBSTITUTE, and even then the senile old twat took the wrong player off, he decided to stick with needs 40 chances to convert 1 goal Dzeko.

Sorry for my rant, but I totally leave the blame this Defeat on Pellegrini,i cant remember such an other incompetent team selection as bad as this ever. Absolutely gutted that were out thought in the dug out. How the fuck did he stick with that midfield for 94 minutes, why the fuck did he persevere with Demichellis who legs were gone and was lucky not to be red carded, why the fuck didn't we bring on Milner or Rodwell and try and change things in the middle off the pitch. He just sat there like a fucking clown.

Pellegrini was Maureens bitch, embarrassing, he gifted them those 3 points, he cost us tonight big time.

It is worrying that the two best sides to come to the Ethiad this season have ran out deserving winners. Perhaps a little reality check was required before the Barca game.

So many things missing tonight but what stands out most of all is that if you stop Toure playing you stop City playing.

Looking at the fixtures aswell we will be back on top if we win our next 2 games. Arsenal won't come out of their next 2 with 6 points.

All due respect chief, but we have just gone unbeaten for 3 months. It is pellers' fault, lets call is a brain fart and move on to weekend. Big scheme of things, its still in our own hands and a long way to go

Think that's a great perspective mate, if it spurs us on to another couple of months unbeaten, it's a good wake up call

We were severely weakened by losing Sergio and Fernandinho but Pellegrini playing an injured beast and Dzeko was mad. You CANNOT play two against three in central midfield against classy opposition. Has he learned nothing from the Bayern game. If we do that against Barca we'll be murdered. Milner should have started and Jovetic should at least have gone on after 45. He's fit enough for that. He needs a run in the team now.

Can't agree more bayern written all over it yet persisted with half a midfield.

I am so glad that we get another go at them , I thought Chavs were good tonight and our finishing wasent , I like that new defender we have , a bit wooden but stopped three goals tonight :) Bring on the weekend ,Anyone of those guilt edge chances we had tonight Aguaro or a fit Negrado would have buried . Down but not out let Moureen have his 5 minutes then kick em the fook out of the FA Cup ,

Nothing to do with tactics, simply Chelsea had more quality all over the pitch. We are light in midfield - they were strong. We were ineffective up front, they defended well. We were shit at the back and Chelsea could have had 4

Can't agree with that mate. Yaya, Silva, Navas are equal to anything Chelsea had on the pitch and showed it in posession, but were exposed at the other hand by having demichelis as a weak link which left our defence in an absolute panic because of the lack of protection.

We didn't get decent ball to our forwards, and looked nervy defending, it was just a rough night, no more than that
