He also seems to be doing wonders for our team spirit doesn't he? Under Mancini it could sometimes look like the players hated each other but there seems to be nothing but love nowadays. The way the bundled together yesterday after 1-0 while clearly talking about how to build on that goal was amazing to watch. Would not have happened under Mancini or Hughes. I think.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Spot on.

For me that is the reason Bobby isn`t here anymore, he failed to connect with the players, to be the man they needed to be. Maybe because of Mario or Tevez, fuck knows.
This week i`ve heard Vinnie talking about what the Count is doing and why they are like this. I have never heard him talk about Bob in that way.

Just to put this in perspective.

On my FM game going on years and full of world superstars, I have 116 goals at the same equivalent date as our season today.

116 goals in a fantasy game.
115 goals in real life.

City are playing fantasy level football.

He has dragged the potential out of this team, to the point where I feel like we could win anything and everything. The Pearce era of no goals and dire dire football just seems like a bad dream now. We are blessed with one hell of a team here lads, from the board to players, this club is performing magnificantly atm. Loving it!

I agree with everything you've said, but no matter how well we play, until the trophy cabinet starts filling up we cannot be called the best !!
If, or when as I believe, we win the league we can be called the best in. Britain. If we win the Champions league we'll be the best in Europe, these things are not easy otherwise Barcelona would have won the CL for the last ten years. The first 30 mins against Spurs was the best, most intense and creative football I've ever seen bar none.

I said at the end of last season that if you just told the squad we had to go out and enjoy themselves, we'd win more than not. The general attitude and atmosphere last season seemed terrible from the outside and that seems to have been repaired.

I suspect Pellegrini has done more than just get them to bond and like each other, but doing that will have caused a big improvement.

The way we play makes me think of Barca it Bayern under Pep and at the moment, there's no higher compliment.

I've noticed the op hasn't been around much since we put that away form to bed awhile ago. Great football may it continue.

To be fair they joined during different parts of City's development. That said I've no doubt Pelligrini's stats are better anyway, but a more fair comparison would probably be this season compared to Mancini's 2 seasons prior, and not when he had only just taken over Mark Hughes.

Just the title winning season alone, which I would say was Mancini's best season.

Ponderous 2 man midfield in against 3. If Demichelis is anywhere near Barca, we have no chance at all.

Very poor from Pellegrini tonight - one sub was ridiculous when Demi was so off the pace and Milner/Rodwell on bench.

I think as part of a midfield three he'd be fine.

He got it wrong tonight but he's got balls of steel imo for trying it.Whats the saying you only die trying and yes he died by trying tonight but how many times this season has he and we lived by not only trying but doing?

He needs to be more flexible in his approach. Not every game suits 4-4-2. He can't or won't deviate and that's a fatal flaw. If he genuinely believed those fuckers were lucky tonight than we may have a problem. If he can't see the problem with playing nastastic then someone needs to enlighten him and quick too.
