Just found out that he signed David N'gog and Marvin Emnes last week. Christ.

Truly awful players. I'd sack him if he did that too.

Yes he was asked to leave according to the chairman.

I think Swansea operate on something similar to sporting director system so the signings can't be pinned on him solely.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Worked for Sunderland last year. (Winning the following derby that is)

Strange this. He had a brilliant last season with them but they have looked nothing like that this season. It can't be all about being in Europe this season can it?

Just got found out really.... people get the hang of what you're doing and cope with it. Like last year - teams worked out how to defend against Mancini's City, but we had world class players capable of grinding us out results. They don't, and their hero last season, Michu, has been nonexistent for various reasons this year.

Still odd timing as a new manager/head coach will still want to try and get the sporting director to look at some players in the Jan window. Now any new manager will need to hope he's good enough to keep them up and last out to summer.

It's probably no bad thing for Laudrup. He will get the next top job in England or Spain that comes up.

Stupid sacking. Swansea are a mid table side and can't see them going down, some clubs just hire and fire for the sake of it.

one thing to bear in mind in all these things is that we don't have a clue what's going on behind the scenes.
especially as the transfer window just ended, it could well be that Laudrup demanded some improvements which could've been promised for him in the summer or something and now the owners have decided against it.. resulting in a row between ML & owners...
all of this is of course all made up like I'm a journalist working for the mail but I'd at least give the benefit of a doubt to both Laudrup and the owners before the whole truth is out

You're right about that. I think it might prove a fateful decision, regardless of whether or not Laudrup was an appointment they were satisfied with. Firing a manager mid season is always a gamble and I think in the end, statistically speaking, there's no difference in sticking to your man the entire season or firing him along the way. Plus it costs more.

West Ham could do a lot worse than telling Fat Sam to go fuck off and letting Laudrup run the show for them. They need to fire him after the season i'm sure....jettison the fat cunt now and get a decent football playing manager in. The fans are ripe for it.

cheers

My Swansea-supporting mates generally see him as 'another manager carefully chosen by Jenkins', but think he's more prone to rocking the boat and angling for a move to a bigger club than Martinez, Sousa and Rodgers were. I don't know whether the Swans have got someone lined up (Poyet would have been my bet had he gone earlier), or if the relationship soured too much, but the Chairman will have the majority of the fans' backing on this, in my opinion.

They sacked him because they knew he was going to leave for bigger and better things, did a great job last season and it was always going to be tough this season but for me was still doing a good job, some good signings just unlucky with injuries.

He will get another good job a level above Swansea and if he does well there he could get one of the big jobs then.

Can't see the likes of michu and the Spanish contingent been happy he is gone. Didn't Chico have a fight with monk who's now in charge?
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so hiring an ambitious manager is a bad move? As soon as someone wants to be competitive and crack on after winning a cup he's a cunt?

Wise move, no doubt he was looking for a bigger club and the chairman wanted someone focused on the rest of the season. A big decision made there.
