Game must go on, all those people travelling, police costs etc. New stadium, solid infrastructure, will be OK. Bad in Cornwall and Wales isn't it? Forecast for Manchester is now really bad, seen it? How bad can it be, we can cope, we have before? SHIT! Have to call it off right now, if someone gets killed we will be blamed. Without filling in the flannel, no doubt at all. :-)

They put out a Red alert warning (which apparently means structural damage and risk to life??) for the NW and in particular Manchester and surrounding areas early afternoon. They advised do not travel unless absolutly necessary and yet waited until people where already on their way or at the ground to stop it.
It is very much a case of closing the door after the horse had bolted.

Id wager you were part of the group who invented health and safety.

IE they still make cock-ups!
