How can you say that? When we played Chelsea last week Joe was diving around everywhere. But tonight Pants just made no effort to join in at all.

Just arrived home from the game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was pretty confident of the result from early on, we were so much quicker and more precise on everything than Chelsea. Mourinho in his downbeat modest mode in the after match interview, because we left him nothing else to say.

The result of a title winning defence being reinstalled as you well know. Crazy that it was ever fucked with in the first place

The other lads played away quite happily in the other half whilst Pants just stood there. I can only assume he was sulking.

In all seriousness, and I think I say this every game, I still prefer him to joe hart.

He's not as good a shot stopper but has better distribution and is far better when we're likely to face an aerial bombardment.

I really hope Panitlimon gets to play in the final of the League Cup. He deserves it.

Yes I know. Clichy was excellent tonight and Lescott is the best partner for Kompany. Zaba is the man. I don't remember Chelsea having one proper effort on goal.

Not one shot on target, by all accounts.

I thought it was a good team performance today. Ironically we were half a yard quicker than them all over the pitch, as they were us the other week. I thought we made them look very VERY average, Hazard was marked out the game,0 shots on target says it all.

MOM was David Silva. But I am going for Javi Garcia, just for the fact he gets so much shit so it is nice to sing the lads praises once in a while. By all accounts he is a good professional and well liked member of our squad. Coming back from injury today he showed exactly what we have been missing in Midfield. With all due respect to Demichelis, Garcia is a far more accomplished player. I hope he has set the standard today for his future performances.

Not sure what was wrong with the Chelsea fans today, there was an air of menace about them all day. Maybe they are now becoming a mirror image of the nasty poisonous twat who manages them.

Well done City, really buzzing tonight, I love the FA Cup. Also really didn't want to lose to those cunts again today, psychologically it would have had a devastating impact on us, regardless what people say. This win gives us a good shot of confidence after self doubt started to creep in a bit.

Today ref was going on my nerves all game, he gave Chelsea all that stupid fight for ball free kicks , not one on our side .

I don't remember Panti having a save to make apart from smothering or getting to low or high crosses - the defence and Midfield have to take great credit - Zabba, Vinni, Lescott & Cliche were top drawer tonight!

Garcia was immense, even better than the great performance against Bayern away and Milner was excellent!

This allowed our forwards to attack, and Yaya to surge forward more too - we kept them quiet and even when they were 1-0 down they stuck with 11 behind the ball - their boring shite football is getting found out now.

Oh and

FUCK OFF MAUREEN YOUR FOOTBALL IS SHITE!!!!!!

Good team performance. In general all players worked hard and got just rewards.Pleased with the performance.Nasri coming back was a big plus and Dzeko looked really up for it.I think himself and Jovetic look comfortable playing together.

We all know the reason we won today and won well is not down to missing the game in midweek. It didn't do any harm of course but the real reasons are down to Pellegrini in his team selection and his tactics plus the fact that all our players played very well. That cannot be said of the Chelsea manage and players.

The full backs did not just bomb forward,we had Garcia sitting in midfield and showing he is good at the job, yaya was released more and along with Silva dictated the game. Milner was Milner and did his job all over the pitch AND we had two guys up front who played well.

Jovetic is clearly a very good player and we haven't seen anything yet from him and Edin was up for it today.Holding the ball up well ,competing for balls and a nicely weighted pass for the Jovetic assist. And it was great to see Nasri back to score a sublime goal. And finally how good was it to see Joleon back with Kompany.Best pairing we have without any doubt at all.Joleon was excellent today... yet again.

Someone posted on one of the newspaper reports that Jovetic's dive was so embarrassing it was a "disgrace not only to footaball but to humanity in general." Nice one. Wonder if that's why Pellegrini subbed him soon after?

Summed it up nicely Doug.I think this is a win Pellegrini will savour. He learned his lesson last week and got it spot on this time around. As cool as Pellegrini comes across he has to have paid heed to the way that Portugese Weasel has carried on over the past fortnight and today's response from the players will sit very well with Pellegrini.

That's about right too, bloody embarrasing. Hope Pellers has told him he's not playing for the rags, and that sort of shit is unacceptable. Only low point of an otherwise perfect night.

I hope he has a word with him, as not something I want to see a City player do again.

Navas did something equally embarrassing in the first game of the season. He's not done anything similar since.

Panti made 0 saves. Chelsea had 2 shots, both outside the box and neither on target. Impressive
