As stated earlier the referee could decide this match. If he gets card happy that will shackle vinnie yaya and zabba. If not we can bully these.

In this period of time, 7 years ago, we lost at Portsmouth with 2-1, Corradi scored our only goal.

Look where are we now, in the last 16 of the best and most important cup in the world, playing the team that along side AC Milan 89 played the best football in the history of this sport, having in their team maybe the best player of all time.

Win, lose, draw, i am so fucking proud how big we grown. This is no a dream, we are playing Barcelona in the Champions League and we can bring those fuckers down.

Bring it on, CITY!

I will be loud and proud for the boys tonight, but instead of being all wound up for it like I was against Chelsea on Saturday, I am going to really enjoy it and try and take in the fact that we are watching two of the best teams on planet earth go head to head. We have come a long way and still have a long way to go, however, we are certainly up there with the big boys now and long may it continue.

Agree. Barca like to press teams, making them give the ball away. Bayern did the same thing back to them, but instead of some dwarf running at you trying to get the ball, it was the likes of Schweinsteiger. We need to defend like mad and have some luck, but when we get the ball we need to use it - get at them with pace and power, get their defence turned and get balls across the box.

The likes of Yaya and Negredo will be key tonight when we've got the ball and need to not just win their personal battles, but absolutely dominate them. Need to remind Yaya that they think Busquets is better, so he has two games to prove them right or wrong

This will be very interesting, to see how we cope.

If Barca play in the Pep style, they will come out as Bayern did, running & pressing like fuck & as Chelsea have tried to do. Bayern, Dortmund, Arsenal last season & recently Chelsea & even Watford, have caused us big problems on our own ground by pressing us & outnumbering us in midfield & in our own half & us losing our composure on the ball.

Our forwards were lazy & weak v Bayern & Joe Hart kept lumping the ball at them, so it just came back. Against Chelsea, Nastasic was shitting his pants when the ball came near him, so Hart just lumped it again, but at least we fought for possession when he did. That could be key, if he lumps it v Barca; that we win the resulting aerial challenge & play from there.

We will have to cope with their passing game, but we should also make them cope with ours, not just give them the ball as many teams do because they are intimidated by the pressing game. They can't keep running like that for any long periods. If they don't get the ball, they get tired, very quickly.

For me Lescott must be a starter, he knows very well how to intimidate his opponents. He knows how to bully them when it's needed, however, i am prepared to put money in that tonight we will see Demichelis.

The Count will hope that he can use the fact that Demi knows Barcelona very good from his long spell at Malaga, and this is true and well said, but only if Demi was younger.

For me this game is simple and all comes down to Vinnie and Zaba. If they will stop Pedro and Messi, the game is our. We are better than them even in the middle. We all saw what a joke Barcelona is without Messi and that is our key of winning today.

Once Bayern scored they had Nueyer slowing it down, all set plays were done with accuracy and designed to be precise, almost with every cross Barca looked like fuck this I am getting out of the way. 10-0 would have been fair. I know they like to keep it I am a fan, I think slowing it down and loading areas 6 times in a game will cause havoc for them, a side of football they neglect we need to exploit . I would also causion half the Barca team were injured or on 1 leg against BM, I fancy us to batter them if we are smart. Messi has to be hit as BM did, just as we did with Hazzard, which was a good session for dealing with Messi.

This. An excellent point. Hope we play the opponent and not the occasion.

Also determined we dont get too carried away as if things go to plan & we continue our current progression, we should have many more nights like this in the next decade.
