2.) They played the away leg first and won, then lost the home leg.

Barcelona was the European Champions at that time, after the final in Paris. Now they are just a bent team from a corrupt football championship.

I'm very proud of the team. All players played really well, although a series of personal mistakes cost us the game.

Calling for Demi's head is pure knee-jerk reaction, though. Yes, he made mistake, but Navas's and Kompany's were just as big. He just happened to be the lat man, an shad to make closer to impossible split of a second call. So chill out all you fucking blind clowns.

We will need to press like crazy in the second leg. They do make mistakes while passing. Keep pressing and give the ball to Aguero.

Tough night.
Very difficult to play so long with 10 men.
Barca were very good.

Disappointed but not too much because of the way we played.Against teams like Barca you have to be so watchful in defence even when we have the ball.Navas lost it and we were all at sea. They break so well and Messi was coming back from offside with our 2 center backs not right. Vinnie plays him onside and the rest was down to Demic's lack of pace. I am sure he tried to foul him outside the box and probably did but that's the way it goes.

Was MP right to use Aleks for the extra defensive cover.Who knows what might have happened if Nasri or Jovetic had started but till the goal is was all quite even and a nil nil would have been ok.Yes they had a few more chances and scored what should have been a good 2nd but we had some too even with 10 men. That 2nd was brutal and you could blame Clichy for not getting the last ditch tackle in or at least staying on his feet but it was a very quick break. I can't blame Joe too much either.

Gutted for Vinnie who was magnificent (1st goal apart) and Fernandinho who showed fantastic quality for his first game back.Silva quality too when given half a chance.

We are not out of it totally especially if we have a full team out to give it a go.

We knew it was going to be tough. Barca did their usual shit of keeping hold of the ball and we defended really well and had some decent chances to score.

We now need to get our heads up, get a good run of games together and go in to the away leg in a positive frame of mind.

The point I was making, is Liverpool didn't go to the Nou Camp having to overturn a 2 goal defecit. They came to Anfield having to preserve a 2-1 lead.

It's a far harder challenge.

Impressed with the effort and we did well enough. We're just not yet good enough to win on this level but we are not too far off. Get us an improved centre back to go with komps and maybe a bit more luck with injuries and we will get there.

Vinnie, fernandinho, silva and yaya showed real class and determination tonight. This loss was very tough to take but that's sport. Demi did pretty well i thought before the blunder but his lack of pace was his undoing.

Lescott lovers should recall his shite pass to hart that created a dangerous chance. Yes, he has some very good defensive skills and made some better passes than i have seen but he is not good enough for this level. You wanna win the chumps league? Changes must be made.

Gotta love the optimism.
Huge ask now. If it happens it will be one of the greatest result in CL history.
Sadly can't see it though.

Unlucky for the lads tonight, at this level though you simply have to take your chances when they come and we did have chances.

i think with Aguero we could absolutely smash that team 3-1 if the Count plays his goddam game instead of pussy fucking around like he did.

"We will always play our way"...then he fucking sits back and begs them to come at him. Master Class in retard if you ask me. He went a bit "Mancini" in this match for me...wrong tactics. Shouldn't have started Navas, and played faves instead of the best player available for a job.

Stupid shit.

And for those acting like Barca were some invincible force...i thought that team was there to be beaten if we'd played our match.

Agree, I can't fucking wait, Barcelona will still be worried. 2.0 leaves a glimmer of hope. If we can take the game into the 2nd half still in contention, anything could happen.

Some of my mates have already text and written the trip to barca off as a golfing holiday. Cunts.
