"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

His philosophy is simple; build a team - defenders are there to defend, midfielders are there to open up the opposition, forwards are there to score goals, or, when they are not scoring goals, to help the team score goals.
Do you know Mancini personally Soc? Or at least read his autobiography? You seem to be a Roberto Mancini expert?
it's for crap like this no one bothered answering original post.

Man is one of the brightest young managers in Europe and has managed one of the biggest clubs in the world with huge success. And some make it sound like we just appointed him from Barnet.

I happen to think he's a good appointment, all things considered. I just find comments like... defenders are there to defend, midfielders are there to open up the opposition, forwards are there to score goals, or, when they are not scoring goals, to help the team score goals
absolutely fucking hilarious. Football is such a simple game hey?

I think his theme tune to the Pink Panther is brilliant.

He's good in the transfer market. He signed such players as:

Maxwell, Maicon, Chivu, Balotelli, Ibrahimovic

I looking forward to watching mancini, but tbf 2 of his leagues titles at inter were because Juventus got done for match-fixing and then subsequently relegated to serie B in which time he just went and bought Juventus's star players like zlatan and vieira and since then serie a hasn't been the most competitive league it seems like inter can win it with a small amount of effort..

But he won titles with lazio and I can't argue with that

Mourinho won the league with 84 points last year. Mancini won the year before with 85 points.

I actually wanted mancini instead of hughes before we got him. That was largely due to a massive hype that generated on this very board that made me buy into him. Although Ousmane Dabo was also a similar story :-)

Another thing I thought about is the fitness and sports science aspect that MH has brought to the club. Bellamy is in the form and fitness of his life. Lets hope mancini does not let this drop.

Also, watch the game back. How pissed off was stevie today?!

I want to know it Mancini plays a holding midfielder in the system he deploys, I would hate to think that de Jong and Kompany could be frozen out.
