***OFFICIAL CITY vs STOKE MATCH THREAD***

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

We finished the half well but the first 35 minutes were pretty awful.

The defence is just hideous. It's been like this all season but we got away because of the sheer number of goals we were scoring. Pellegrini has done absolutely nothing to improve it this season and I really can see this hampering our chances of winning the league.

Demichelis is out of his depth. It's embarrassing watching him play and every other team knows he's a weak link so they target him. Kompany turns into a headless chicken when he plays with him and he's been a nightmare today. One more foul and he'll be sent off so he needs to keep calm.

We need to score a couple because I don't have any confidence our defence can hold out.

Negredo needs to get involved more. Dzeko has looked more lively up front and I'd consider bringing Jovetic on for Negredo.

the guardian had the suggestion we should have started jovetic today given with aguero coming back he may not start much (although i think pellers has shown he will bench players if they are not performing when given their chance). too late for that now, but c'mon now lads, wake up!

ive said it before, changes are youre not going to be successful is you rely solely on outscoring people and using that to cover up other weaknesses because sooner or later you wont be scoring goals and your other faults will be exposed.

i wish it was "literally" instead

Our finishing is beyond horrible. Hopefully Berkovic is getting lulled to sleep.

Should we sub Kompany? He's surely going to be sent off soon.

If we do, might as well go three at back as it won't matter. But it might be a good idea to save him from himself.

If he's sent off we'll have Demichelis-Nastasic at the back next week :-(
