Joking side, I thought Moyes was one of the most boring, anti football, cynical, managers around, both at Preston & Everton, but in his last season or two (obviously as his demo for Utd) I thought he got Everton playing more football, & when they came to our place last season, I thought he tactically gave Mancini a bit of a kicking.

So from my first impression of him as a Scottish Fat Sam, who only wins by ruining football, I had revised it to think that perhaps he was actually a pretty clever coach who could do a top job, as people said he could.

Having seen him in action for the rags, depleted squad excuses taken into account; he gives the impression that he hasn't got a fucking clue what he's doing. If Gus Hiddink took over that squad tomorrow, I recon they would improve about 50% instantly.

I reckon the Rags would lose more from their commercial deals by actually being out of Europe all together. They'd lose UEFA money, some through sponsorship that they've cultivated, match day revenue, and of course, a couple of million shirt sales in some eastern suburb.

Well tbf, this is an interesting point of comparison.

We, along with most fans, & even Utd fans, think Cleverley is generally shite. Moyes thinks he's worth a five year deal.

Moyes gets paid loads of money, to manage 'The World's Greatest Club'.

If he knows his stuff, then we will see Cleverley mature into a very good player, worthy of a 5 year contract at TWGC, even if Moyes is sacked, & it will show how a pro manager can spot stuff we can't.

If he remains absolutely fuck all, then it proves that your average fan knows more about players than Moyes does.
