You talk too much sense there SoF, perhaps it is more than that, perhaps part of a 'master plan' by Gollum.... Planting moles in our camp ;-)

Thanks sis ... THAT was my whole point ... that our academy must be doing something right and surely better than rags' that even their own players are bringing their kids to us ...

Some people just want to argue for the sake of an argument on here!

The way it came across seemed like you were moaning that we had Rags players sons in our academy.
It's a non story really.

Nah. Sister of fu was offering some first hand valuable experience of Academy life and trying to diffuse the rivalry on the basis of merir.

You were banging on about people diving other people's cars and trying to use the story to enhance the rivalry. Completely the opposite.

Show yourself up, but don't drag other decent posters down with you.

Darren Fletcher supposedly has twins in our academy as well.

I think the answer may lie in the article - it references st bedes where " a number" of city youth team study - so he's 7 & playing football with his mates basically

Yep he does. Seen him there. Kevin Campbell had a son at City also a few years ago. I think it's a feather in out cap that top footballers of our rivals want there kids in blue. It must really get up the nose of their fans.

Well, all I did was pasted an article from MEN that I came across (with a link at the end as well) ... so you mean how the author of the article came across, then go follow the link and comment on there ...

I do hope they're there on merit rather than because of who their parents are.

The interesting thing will be to see what happens when they get older. Whether any of them are good enough to continue at City, & get contracts.

It may be in the minds of the parents that they get the best training at our place, then move on to the resurgent rags, but what they may find is that, by the time the kids reach that age, they are all blues.

Cream always rises to the top and City will not have kids in the academy that are not of standard regardless of whom their parents are.

This. Also, where are the academies located compared to where the players live, does anyone know? It's a bit of a no-brainer choosing to send a 7 year old to us over Arsenal, considering where RVP lives...

I think we're probably just throwing numbers at it. Gotta fill all those pitches somehow!
