When City went to the swamp under Howard Kendall, the ground was being refurbished & capacity had been reduced, but such was the fear of rags' fans that they were going to get a right fucking hammering, there were gaps in the crowd & they didn't even reach capacity .

Anyhow City missed at least five chances, they went a goal up & we had to rely on a late equaliser. Then we played them at our place & we battered fuck out of them, David White missing a guilt edged chance to go 4-1 up & they scored 2 late goals to make it 3-3 then almost scored the winner. As it happens we didn't beat them again til Kevin Keegan.

I'm not saying this is likely to happen, I'm just saying let's not start talking about sides rolling over in derby games, until it actually happens. There are many occasions where it doesn't. What if Utd decide to play like underdogs ?

Moyes may park the bus for all we know, & he has taken points off City many times doing exactly that.

That's the danger for us. If they defend well and catch us out on a corner ir freekick. We need them to try and attack us and leave gaps for us to exploit.

I hope he does park the bus and we batter them anyway. I want them to have the embarrassment of playing like the mid-table team they are and still losing.

My biggest disappointment this season is that we let up at 4-0 in the derby. That goal was right in front of me and their players looked shell shocked. We could easily have had 7 or 8 that day. Next week is the chance to make up for that - I want a bigger win than the 6-1.

We are streets better than the scum but strange results can happen especially when teams are fighting for their lives. So far they have not been putting it in for the manager but if they get though the chumps league game as I expect there will be a certain amount of renewed belief.

I expect Moyes to change the team a little and throw bodies and energy into midfield. Not real quality but players like Cleverley and Jones in the middle to chase and put the foot in.No doubt shrek and RVP up top but behind that a desperate attempt to stop City being totally dominant.I can't think of anything worse this season than City losing to the scum. Miles worse than losing to Wigan.

I was sat in north stand lower tier as well and they did look totally shell shocked. We only played properly for 50 minutes of that game. If we had played with the same intensity for even another 20 minutes it would have been 7 or 8 nil

I agree. It's funny when a manager is rattled and you can tell the pressure is getting to them but Moyes looks genuinely ill, pale and stressed. I can't remember seeing any manager looking physically ill from the job before.
As you say I honestly would not be surprised if he has a healthscare.
Wouldn't wish that on anyone, certainly not someone who's doing a remarkable job like Moyes is.

There's a long line of managers made ill (even killed) by football (and/or the associated lifestyle). But the bloke who does look ill to me is Taggart. Always wears his red wine in his face, but his eyes are like piss 'oles and he must be feeling some of the pressure/responsibility.

If I remember correctly, Joe Mercer suffered a heart attack (when he was Manager at Aston Villa ??) and then spent a little time out of football before coming back to take over at City.

He knows how Lescott felt when he started being vindictive to him after he said he wanted to come here then - no fucling sympathy whatsoever.

You're disappointed with winning 4-1? Crickey some people are hard to please.

I'm disappointed that we stopped playing. I'd certainly have taken it beforehand but on the day, we had an opportunity to beat the 1-6 score wise. We carried on going against other teams but let them off.

The more we scored, the worse they looked and we looked like scoring whenever we attacked. That day could have been a scar on their memories forever, without even the consolation they were down to 10 men.

I don't think it was a case of we stopped playing. We played at such a high intensity for the first half which was always going to be difficult to maintain for 90 minutes and then they started to play a little bit when it got to 4-0.
We still did attack and have chances and I agree that at 4-0, it looked like it could be 7 or 8 but we really can't complain about a 4-1 victory.
Was a great day.

I hope to hell he's not sacked before our game next week. If they do badly against Olympiakos and West Ham I could see them ditching him and us having to face a newly energised team!! Here's to a couple of results that are bad but just good enough to keep him in place.
Then we can thump them at the swamp and they can do whatever they want then.

If he continues suck a great record with them, i may have to get a tattoo ;-)

I'm hoping they beat Olympiakos 3-1, with the Greeks getting a dodgy offside goal, so everyone thinks they're back. Then he can fuck up the next two. It's the pattern he's followed all season, just teasing the rags

If the Glazers stick to that plan, then they, as well as Moyes, should be given City legend staus imo.
