Good read. I am catching a plane at 5.30 am today and it's going to be without any sleep.Not a chance after that great win and I will have to change my habits and buy some newspapers to read on the plane and while I am away.

And I mentioned in the thread that I can't remember anything quite like it. I saw us turn them over as a kid but it was still, to my memory, a tough challenge we overcame each time. The Denis Law backheel game, we played as if we were trying not to win tbf.I went to the League Cup game when they were shit & possibly in Div 2 & they fucking beat us (with totally bent pen), then in later years we lost games I expected to win.

Today at half time, I was pissed off we let them have a kick. We outclassed them.

Seems a very blue tinted way of looking at the game by someone getting a bit carried away with what they thought they saw, rather than what actually happened on the pitch.

For 30 minutes of the 1st half we where quite poor but so where they. 2nd half we where the better team by quite alot. Thats the reality.

Felt that the only reason the rags came into the game was cos Ya Ya did his usual of taking his foot off the pedal. He was blatantly refusing to run into space ahead. Was debating at the time whether he was under orders from the line or it was him thinking City could control the rags with numbers behind the ball and catch em on the break. Of course in the event it worked out alright so maybe he's a genius. Personally, I thought they were there for a total mauling if we'd kept going. Second half we stepped it up and no contest.Have to say the defensive running and covering of the attacking players was very encouraging.

I thought it was strange how YaYa and Fernandinho consistently stayed back for long periods and thought it was just that they'd been told to do that to protect what we had.
Can't grumble at 3-0 away but wonder what might have happened if we had gone full throttle

I felt, as I said in the match thread, that with the work silva and nasri were putting in, yaya in particular was saving himself for later in the game, so we didn't end up with 4 midfielders dead on their feet at 70 mins. After 70 mins I was certain we would see Milner at least, possibly Garcia or Rodwell, then have yaya pushed up to punish Uniteds tired legs.
