the dissimilar # of games is throwing me off.

i think if we get 4 points from our 2 games in hand (provided neither is vs Liverpool) and Liverpool win the rest of their games (not including our match vs them) we will be tied with them and, as of now, ahead on goal difference...meaning that the clash at Anfield would decide it.

It's simple really ... If we win all out games, we win the title ... but now the same has opened up to Liverpool too ... they win all theirs, then they take the title ... thing is they have one game less to play than us (and one they play tomorrow) then it'll be two games less ...

Liverpool v City will be title decider on April 13th ... this 13 better be unlucky no for them!

We can afford to draw that game, but then they have home advantage so pretty much evens it out ... now will be the test if nerves ...

I really hope Spurs pull off a win or a draw there tomorrow and then I can sit easy for the rest of the week.

Maths aside, I think we can afford at least one defeat possibly 2 on the basis that neither Liverpool not Chelsea are likely to win all their remaining games.

84 points or more will win it this year.

The Chavski defeat yesterday proves, if it is really needed, that stuff happens. There will be more odd results. If we can avoid them, it's on. That Dippers game is looking huge though.

I actually think we will draw one of our home games (Just like in the title winning season v Sunderland) leaving us gutted, drinking whiskey thinking we lost the league.

This is the most likely one, if we are going to do that; Southampton.

We made a right mess of the home game v these last season, scraping through, then got hammered in the away game. This season we fucked up what should have been a routine 3 points & let them back in at their place.

We need to make sure we don't fuck up again in this one. Then other things will take care of themselves I believe.

It won't just be down to us winning or losing at Anfield or Goodison. All of the games for all teams are now a potential minefield.

I don't expect us to get through it unscathed, & not by neccessarily losing or drawing to the team(s) most likely. Someone strange will probably take points off us, but the same will probably happen to Chelsea & Liverpool.

The extra bit of breathing space we have now should win us the title when it all unfolds imo.

If Chelsea get to champions league semi final, their match away to Liverpool will be in between the two semi final matches. If they are to drop any points between now and then can see Mourinho playing a fairly weakened line up. Hopefully spurs will pick up something there today.

If Liverpool beat both City & Chelsea & then take sufficient points from the other games to maintain that advantage, AND THEY DO IT FAIR AND SQUARE, NOT BY CHEATING, then imo fair play to them; they fully, 100% deserve the title.

I don't think they will. I think they will slip up on some occasions. Chelsea have already.

If I'm right about Liverpool, it will therefore be totally upto us not to make an arse of it in a high perecentage of the remaining games.

Doesn't have to be all of them, just most of them. That's not so much to ask, looking at the list.

Do our job to a decent level, we win the league. Imo.

We don't need to. We can draw there and aslong as we win our other games we win the league.

It was an absorbing, thoroughly enjoyable game yesterday. I was fortunate enough to get tickets, and it was almost the perfect game to go and watch (oh but for Podolski and Joe Hart wearing traînérs à size too small!)

I really think it's yours to lose now. Over the course of the season, you've deserved it. The home form has been imperious, it's scary. Apart from timid performances against Palace, Stoke and Chelsea at the Etihad (you guys may remember more), I can't remember à team being that good at home. I say this in the full knowledge that Manchester United only dropped two points at home in the league à few years back (à 2-2 draw against West Brom, they best everyone else). However, the way you guys put teams to the sword is remarkable.

The média have à short memory. They've totally forgotten about just how good we were in the autumn and how good your season overall has been. Let's see how the "flavour of the month" Liverpool cope with similar pressure heaped on them

Liverpool and Everton are must wins. Everton will be looking to come forth. I'd like them too but not at our expense.
