I knew the score but the first I heard about it was on the radio when I got back saying that Utd achieved a superbly creditable result.I suppose it is when you think how crap Utd are compared to Bayern but 24% possession!

Yet they managed to hold the 'best side in the world' to a draw, restricted them to only one real clear cut chance, had a goal questionably chalked off and actually had the best chance of the game themselves.
Danny Welbeck caused their defence far more problems then Aguero or Dzeko did when we faced them at home.
Bayern are not untouchable. Yes they had 76% possesion but that means nothing unless you convert that into goals.
This was the side who's 7th in the PL. If they can hold Bayern to a draw then so can most sides.

Sounds to me that Moyes actually got his side and tactics right for a change. He has finally realised that they are crap and the only hope not to lose face was defend for their lives and hope they could sneak a goal.It also sounded a bit like Bayern were below par even with 76% possession.I cannot imagine that the same possession in the away game will be anything but a convincing win for them.

Welbeck will cause most teams around trouble as he is a good runner but he tends not to have an end product. But he won't be a consistent goal scorer and he won't be part of a team that dominates the ball as he doesn't have a great touch and he certainly doesn't have much composure on the ball.

I actually went to the United game last as my misses is a rag. Go to say they did well. Bayern reminded me of Arsenal trying to secure the perfect goal. They are good to watch though, they work hard and don't give the opposition a minutes rest. You could tell the rags would nick one though. I would say they had the better chances and that De Gea didn't have a great deal to do.

As for my first competitive game at the swamp, wasn't that bad. Have to give there fans there dues they really got behind the team and that place is loud when they all getting going. Apparently though that kind of atmosphere is not the norm. I'm also going to write to the MEN about all the empty seats. Over 30 where I was sat, that guy needs to get his marker pen out again. You just can't see them on the TV as they were higher up.

They did well. But this was Moyes in familiar territory, ie what he had to do most of the time for Everton.

It also by the way exposed out tactics in the home game as not that well thought through.

Not really, when there is a choice of Zlatan or no Zlatan, always go with Zlatan.

It's better for us that Chelsea win the tie and stay in more competitions huh? We saw the result vs Palace at the weekend...

They play the scouse on the 29th - i think the Semi 1st leg is on the 22nd. Could do with them being competitive on the 29th which means out of the CL after the 2nd QF leg - after a tough game would be good.

A draw vs the scouse would suit us unless they drop a few games then a win

Chelsea were shite second half but PSG were shite first half and not actually that much better in the 2nd! I thought they were better when Zlatan went off and that midfield player who kept giving the ball away.

I think it's the right result for us. It should kill their season but the last big push they'll have will all come around the same time.

Once they beat liverpool and then burn out.

They will, hopefully, have an eye on the return leg when the play this weekend and be shagged the following weekend. Be good to see them drop points.

Very well rested before the scouse game.

Has any one seen Zlatan play well against decent competition in a top league ? (Not including internationals)
