Look at the QPR game stats, it was a freak game, we murdered them, if it was a boxing match it would have been stopped way before full time.

Take the above and apply it to Liverpool, they have the eye of the tiger, hunger, desire to win at all costs. You can see the difference in the two teams application. We have the quality but if you dont want it as much as the opposition then you are in danger of losing and thats what has happened to us IMO.

I thought it was because Clattercunt did not send the goofy cunt off.

Raggy, are you trying to wind up real city fans again?

Tut tut ...

Winding up pissartists like you real CITY fans could not give a fuck about me

I think your parents were alcoholics, were they? Did they do things to you? Oh I think so...

There has to be a reason that you are so bitter and angry with the world. A reason why you pretend to be a city fan and come on a city fans message board, purely to wind up real city fans.

The amount of threads you have destroyed is unbelievable. Perfectly good discussions that you want no part of. So strange.

We need to move players on in all parts of the field and get some players in with some balls.

We need to swap at least one striker, midfielder and CB. We seriously need a fucking goalie. And we need a FB or two.

Not exactly good shape as far as I can tell. Shifting 6 or 7 out and 5 or 6 in is going to be pretty challenging.

I wouldn't trust this team to deliver a piss up in a brewery as they say.

Are you serious? Course we're in good shape. We have money to improve the squad. We have invested heavily in youth. We are extending the stadium and we have a new training ground. We will be in the Champions league next season and we won a cup. So you tell me how we are not in good shape?

As a club we're in fantastic shape. But there are players that need to either shape up and dance or bugger off. The days of Robinho are long gone. We're not Holiday Camp City.

Last night was an experience of everything wrong with modern football, people arrived late, left early were up and down to the bog or the bar every 30 seconds and when City didn't tonk Sunderland for six or seven got on their back for it!

On the tram home I heard so much drivel it was embarrassing from blokes who had a combined age of about a 1000 and should know better.

I think some people have signed up thinking the league would be a procession every year and it's not. I'm not saying it should hurt any less, cos I could have honestly throttled a couple of journo's last night but its not our devine right to expect 25 5-0 home wins every season.

Although Sunderland can fuck right off and never return!

This thread is about perspective.
What's Paranoid about calling for perspective?

You're using every thread to have the same rant at city fans. That we are paranoid and "nobs".

Anyway, we'll try and take it back on topic...

Perspective, I have lots of that. Shit has been happening each year I have had Blue running through my blood but once you get the smell of titles/cups etc it leaves you wanting even more.

The COC was another milestone for us and very much appreciated but it doesn't bring the same enjoyment as winning the top division, it's the holy grail for me.

Exactly. We as a club have historically not had more than 4/5 years of sustained winning. This has all changed. Why then, as fans, have some of us? Enjoy our success cos sure as night follows day we would not have been moaning about finishing third even as recently as 2005

Good thread title, thanks for starting it.

One thing I'd add re perspective is that coming away from last night I felt the same as coming away after the Arsenal away game the year we won the title; if anything I felt even worse then because of all the Balotelli nonsense. So, I'm not too sure that this team isn't a patch on that one, or whatever one poster said, as that team royally screwed up on several occasions.

I know there aren't too many matches left but I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool screwed up in at least one of them, especially with Henderson and Sturridge out. I feel less confident that Chelsea will do the same as they are just a grindingly efficient and boring team at the moment. But, that means we are still in with a chance and who knows in a weeks time things might be different.

What's surprised me a bit is the sheer venom that has been shown in a lot of these threads over the last 24 hours, other than many of the posters on this one. It's like there has been a massive build up of angst that has been waiting to come out and last night was the trigger for it. I was so disappointed yesterday but do you know what, I've supported City over many years and this has still been one of the most enjoyable seasons I've had. Of course we should, and must, do better, but thanks to the OP for introducing some perspective.

This could be the key to the whole race, if we can get our shit together and win all five. Chelsea getting a point at Anfield is no real stretch of the imagination - their defence is better than ours. Liverpool dropping points away to either Norwich or Palace seems less likely, but without Henderson or Sturridge who knows? If both those things happen and we win our five...

I made the mistake of thinking we would finish the season strongly like we had each of the last 4 seasons (even last year we made up ground on the clear champions late on) and I had put that down as much to our relative squad strength in depth rather than a Mancini "character" thing but maybe we will just not see those end of season run's with Pellegrini. For me, though, the glass is still not just half full but full almost to the brim. Good football and a trophy in a transitional season is not to be sniffed at even if we don't turn the title race around!

Are we doing it again ? Making it easy for the player here, in Madrid Anceloti, has won a major cup. His target is the league or the one they want Chumps. We should have had the taste for more, since then Wigan and beaten by a poor Barca, running out of steam, is that what we expected, if yes is the answer, then fine, if Liverpool win the league and Chelsea did a double, how do we gauge it then, this not City og 76, this is City 2014, end of season review, and if Pep is available I would think a change would happen without a blink of an eye. Some players must also be thinking this is not right we have undercooked it again.

This side goes missing in games, thinks it is better than it is, coasts through games which ends up costing us - see last night, away to Villa, away to Cardiff, away to Fulham despite us winning. Too complacent. Our defending is woeful and we have got away with it alot of the time this season.

This season, we will lose the League to a team who finished 7th last season or a side without a top class centre forward.

Pellegrini may be a nice bloke but ultimately he is not good enough, nor are some of the players who just believe they have to turn up and win.

I didn't think we would the League this season the moment Mancini was sacked, even less so when Pellegrini was appointed. If we keep him as Manager we can forget winning the League next season too. I hope he proves me wrong but so far he has just proved me right that he isn't good enough Manager to win titles

Pellers "mistake" if there was one, was taking all cups seriously. How many games have we played? How many have Liverpool played? Next season he on't have the bedding in period, Liverpool with have Champions league and hopefully we won't be as unlucky with injuries. As someone else mentioned, imagine if we had Aguero fit all season?

We've played more games (13 more than Liverpool) and used the fewest number of players of all the PL teams. The dippers, as good as they've been have played 39 games, had few injuries and got away with a lot on the pitch. They also seem to be driven by the desire to get Gerrard a championship medal. If they achieve it, will they be as motivated next season and how will their squad cope with all the extra games? They may even lose the diving Suarez. Fingers crossed they slink back off to mid table next season, would rather challenge the rags.

perspective is the correct word. Im disenchanted with the game as a whole now though, many small reasons...I suppose the childlike obsession I had for the game since I was 6 years old is finally wearing off..and Ive realised that over analysing the whys and wherefores in anything doesnt do me any good at all.

brendan rodgers is still a cunt though.
