Plus if they go for Van Gaal then there is the small matter of a World Cup between now and him taking over. Does not give him much time to get his feet under the desk.

Unless FFP suddenly collapses or United are exempt, they wont be able to spend this fabled £100-200M they keep jabbering on about. Even if the Glazers wanted to. A situation exacerbated by the loss of revenue next year.

I'm not sure mate and can see the Glazers putting a few more shares across. Since about Feb their share price has risen from around $14.50 to just short of $18 as of today. An investment firm have been buying up the shares and it isn't inconceivable that they know exactly what's going on in the background, ie. The Rags putting more out there.
There's also the various deals with Nike et al with the Chevy 53 mil one kicking in next season. Don't be surprised to see Nike giving them a huge rise with possible money upfront in order for the Rags to compete.
As long as they don't make losses, they'll be able to spend whatever the want. It's just a matter of where the money comes from.

Remember Beefy that they only made 10% of their shares available on the NYSE in 2012.
