Job done, very professional, Demichelis was superb bar one pass, Dzeko worked really hard, team worked hard, didn't go too gung ho, still several players are obviously not 100%, Yaya, Nasri, Fernandinho but we can now throw everything at Everton knowing we have two home games afterwards.

One gripe: Aguero greedy. Could have easily upped our goal difference.

Otherwise superb, delighted, pub.

I don't think today has been very fair at all. Are nt Liverpool supposed to be given a penalty when they play? Have the rules changed?

Great win today - did pretty much everything right and a solid display by all. Milner had a solid game today and Yaya looked so much better for missing a couple of games!

Bring on Everton!!!

Souness is getting really sour...

The dipper is coming out in him.

"City were very disappointing".

Very bitter. He just can't accept that his team has opened up the title race.

Sky post-match - how incredibly bitter Souness is.

2-0 win away from home against a team that have won 5 straight and he says it wasn't a 'champion's performance', City didn't 'show how good they were' and good teams 'don't rely on one player'.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Mark Lawrenson yesterday: "If the City players are sitting in the dressing room before this game and news comes through that Liverpool have just beaten Chelsea, then it really will be all over for them."

Predictions: Liverpool 2 Chelsea 0. C. Palace 1 City 1.

So much for that, you smug cunt.

Everton away importance reminds me of playing Newcastle in the run in, in the title winning season.

Yep. Not long after a dissapointing home draw against sunderland...

Leading to winning it on goal difference?

Missed all the action today. Was on plane flying out on a business trip (talk about lousy timing). Once we landed I switched on my phone and opened BBC Sport and the first thing I saw was a photo of Gerrard holding his head ! I said this looks good before I read the details and then saw that Dzeko had already scored for us. What a great day it has turned out to be. As they say, bring it on !! I have Sky News on now hoping to catch the highlights including what seems to be another great goal from Yaya the Great.

I wonder if the irony of an actual 2-0 City win will be lost on him

That equaliser by Nasri could prove crucial in the title race.
