Our record at Goodison is what worries me but I think we are focussed. Newcastle were bang in form 2 years ago. Cisse was beyond dangerous. But we ground out a result then and I hope we do it next week.

But we were in better form ourselves. We were on a roll after hammering Norwich, beating the Rags and sending Wolves down.

Today was efficient but not a brilliant performance. Need to be twice as good v the Toffees.

What's the news on Silva?

Surely a win on Saturday will finally see some form of atmosphere at the Etihad vs Villa. We have to raise the roof boys and girls. We also need to get more bums on seats.

There's a long way to go and Everton away is our bogiest of bogey grounds, but we also have been granted an additional bonus opportunity to claim the Premier League title here. What an opportunity we have.

The ball is in our court and a win on Saturday with us playing first means if we were to put the 3 points on the board, it would also be a huge psychological blow to the other two.

Time for our big players to man up next weekend. Its time we won at that place, we have the players to do it, the motivation couldn't be greater, the prize for doing so couldn't be bigger so over to you City. If we don't win the thing from here we cant say we didn't have the chance.

i always thought they would drop points, they were never going to get 9 from norwich, chelsea and palace, that was/is a big ask for that team. they might only end up with the 3 or 4 from those games yet as they could well drop more points at palace.

the media's latest darling, Everton, aren't as good as made out. They moaned about the ref at our place but were comprehensively outplayed as I recall. As they will be on Saturday.

As long as the boys can translate that into goals we'll be fine.

Unlike Graham Souness I thought our performance at Palace was excellent, given their recent form. Time for the same power as 2012.

This absolutely.

At Palace, it seemed that the fans, the players and the manager had at last realised we are supposed to be trying to win the title.

We didn't all pile forward at 1-0 & leave huge holes at the back, we did a professional job & kept Palace at arms length, took off Yaya looking to the next game & the fans kept singing throughout.

There was no comparison to that absolute half arsed disgrace v Sunderland. It felt like a return to two years ago.

Even if we cock it up at Everton (which I don't believe we will) we need to raise the roof v Villa & West Ham, & show that we deserve to be champions.

Despite our poor record at Goodison there might be something to encourage us...no Moyes. Before a cascade of shit comes my way it seemed that in previous years Moyes was hellbent on beating us - probably owing to his best mate Fergie and also cos we "tapped up" Lescott. I always felt that he wanted to beat us at all costs and that came over in their performance. Hopefully Martinez is less bitter and there will not be such a charged atmosphere. Of course we need to do a job and win but its something to consider.

The reason it was pressure v Chelsea & not v City is because v City they had the ' battling underdog' status with everything to win & nothing to lose. When they played Chelsea they could only lose.

They bottled it v City at 2-0, but Vinny handed them the game, just as they were about to cave in. Skrotal's injury time handball was another example of total panic & could have thrown away the title.

They are by no means certain to win their last 2 if we lose or draw at Everton. Chelsea will become a big problem. Look at Mourinho's reaction to their win. He knows it's a possibility Liverpool will shit it but no doubt hoped we would fuck it up at Palace.

We want to make sure we take at least a point from Goodison or Chelsea may well be champions.

really if we are looking to take our chance now we have to go to everon and win. a draw and and we let one or both of the others back in, then it will be gone.
this is the last chance saloon it is a must win game.

I will never forgive this group of players if we do not take up this opportunity.

Let's hope for a Arsenal win tonight and a Villa win on Saturday. Should ease our path just a little bit.

You couldn't ask for a better game than West Ham at home for the last game. Safe, yet still in turmoil.

Some of the pivotal moment in the run in have been caused by team captains. Terry's O.G at palace, vinnys clearance for the dipper third and now stevie G's hilarious slip. No doubt one of the best title run races in memory. A bit of team belief and we can win it this season!!

One game at a time. Our record at Goodison Park is appalling.

We win there then I will really start to believe.

3 Cup Finals is how I see it.

Not going to get giddy just yet.

Well, all I can say is what a fantastic season it has been! Really don't want to see Chelsea take the title either.
I can't see City losing another game to be fair, Everton will be tough but City are a better team quite simply.
Exciting times, and great for football in general ! gotta love the Premier League.
