Dzeko has hit a level now that Negredo can't. That's the plain truth. Edin is getting it right. He isn't third choice at all.

All things considered (form/injuries etc) I'd say Edin his first choice.

In terms of overall performance or just goalscoring ability?

Negredo at his best was on par with Aguero.

His drop in quality, workrate, strength, intelligence is astonishing. I don't think I've ever seen a bigger change in a player in such a short space of time. If it wasn't for his earlier performances, the fans would be giving him dog's abuse now.

THE most frustrating player I have ever seen at City. Should be a lot better than he is. Plenty of time yesterday when, if he could have been bothered, he should have been on the end of some great crosses. But he keeps scoring.

I would have to agree with every word. He looked the real deal. Now he plays like a complete carthorse. What happened?
And without doubt, if we had seen this aspect of his play first, we would have been underwhelmed.
There were a couple of incidents yesterday in the first half where Edin failed to attack the six yard box, suggesting a lack of desire, but by thunder, he scores big goals in big games and you can't argue with that.

I don't understand what he was thinking on those occasions. The 2nd one, as soon as the ball went wide I was shouting at the screen "move, move, get in there", it was obvious where the ball was most likely to end up. He's not alone in this. Sometimes Aguero does the same. It's like the Count has to keep reminding them to actually gamble. 2nd half he stood in there & scored immediately.

Van Nistlerooy would have had a hat trick without having to do basically anything, as would the Goat.

Strange.

Hasn't done enough? Can't agree, not been great but Dzekos scoring goals, you take them away and we aint top mate. The team's all over the fucking place, think they're more scared of losing the league and fear can stop you in your tracks.
Dzeko's ok, will we get a better player given our mentallity( shit scared of losing) I hope so! CTID

Hope not.

Lewandowski isn"t far better than Big Ed. Dzeko still manage to score a shitload of goals while playing little. He at Dortmund will be again a scoring machine like he was in Germany. Huge transfer for them imho.

I would rather have Cavani than Lewandowski (if the Falcao deal isn"t on the table) i really do not trust a player from there without Klopp.

Not just his game, the teams having a nightmare at the moment, Souness said we should be playing far better last week after beating C.P, however I really worry about the size of the fight in the dog cos we aint looking like champions

Got to disagree. That yesterday was the performance of a title winning team. Attacking intent resulting in goals scored when needed. Fighting back from a major setback and then battling hard to keep a lead in tact when it was required. Those two results, at Palace and Everton, were huge and hard fought. I'm not sure what you were hoping for.

First win away at Everton since 2009, coming back from a goal down to score three - surely something a team looking to be champions would do?

I don't think I've ever seen that happen, the referee making a decision that was way out of his remit. The reason they don't do it is because they are not medically trained and cannot make a decision if a player is hurt or not. How Probert decided on a yellow still has me scratching my head and for all intent and purpose, did nothing more than make a normal situation worse.

but Dzeko wasnt even close to being injured so he was just faking and time wasting...which is what you get a yellow for.

We have to accept his flaws , as long as he puts in 100% effort then he deserves zero abuse..the fucker was mega responsible for us winning the prem and if we do it this year then he would have played a leading role as far as I'm concerned...always scores in the big games...are you listening Rooney, you fuckign swamp dweller !

Is this an ironic comment or what?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

If Negredo did what Edin did in last 9 games u would see massive jerking off and not one doubt or hes good but comment, that is just how it is no matter what he do and the end .

He knew what he was doing. It was excellent. He completely killed the game lying on the pitch for 10 mins.

I love Dzeko. I don't get all the shit he gets. He scores big goals. Apparently 52% of his City goals have either seen us equalize or take the lead. He's also 6th best goals to mins goalscorer in Premier League History. I hope we give him a new contract in the summer. We need him!
