Yep - a great article for sure but its only been written as we close in on our 2nd title in 3 years.
One or 2 of the journo's have finally started to see the straws blowing in the wind are now lining up to praise us.
Lest We Forget the abuse, vitriol & shameful lies that has been heaped upon us since the takeover.
As the rags crumble and and the scousers finally start to fade we suddenly become the only game in town.
Coincidence? I think not.

Posted this same article on FFP thread (feel free to delete now I know this thread exists).

I felt the same as most. Great read and so refreshing to hear the good things we actually do get some credit. Quinn on the match build up has just backed this article up with his comments on the whole debacle.

It seems there are quite a few grey areas, but these should not shadow the generosity our owners have splashed out on the development of our club and east Manchester.

+1

Reading the local kebab shop's copy of the Daily Mirror over the years has accustomed me to expect nothing written on City when they win a massive victory, but several pages of analysis when Rooney breaks wind.

Mr Holt may have made some good points, but then he described yesterday's game by writing that a "nervy, scratchy victory over Aston Villa took them to the brink of a second league title in three years". That wasn't the game I saw. I think that bald geordie lad on MOTD got it spot on when he said that the fans were getting worried as the game went on (I, for one, was shitting a stick), but the players knew what they were doing, and stuck to the game plan.

Young Oliver needs to learn his craft a bit more.
